Event created by Harrisburgceliacs
Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 10:00AM at the Mohler Senior Center, Bldg 35, 25 Hope Drive, Hershey, PA, Jules Shepard, Author, Celiac Patient, Baking Instructor and Founder of Jules Gluten Free Products will present how to bake delicious items gluten-free. Her latest book Nearly Normal Cooking for Gluten-Free Eating continues to be a best-seller in the gluten-free community. In addition to heading product and recipe development at Jules Gluten Free, Jules travels the country speaking to thousands of people annually, teaching cooking classes, educating and inspiring people about her no-compromise approach to living gluten-free.
Jules feels no one should have to compromise texture and flavor in gluten-free baked goods so she set out to develop truly all-purpose gluten-free flour she could easily use in her existing recipes. The result is her patent- pending formulation which took this experienced baker more than two years to perfect. From the Washington Post: "Shepard's breakthrough was in nailing down a mix of five grains and starches to approximate the properties of wheat flour." Jules Gluten Free products will be available for purchase at the event. Also additional gluten-free vendors will be onsite.
