    Fried Irish Cabbage with Bacon (Gluten-Free)

    If you want to celebrate St. Patty's Day with an easy, tasty Irish dish that moves away from corned beef and cabbage, then this just might be the ticket. Basically, it's just cabbage cooked in bacon drippings and topped with bacon. If this doesn't make you like cabbage, nothing will. It's a dish that goes great with your favorite gluten-free beer, and is a great dish to bring to a potluck.

    • 1 (12 ounce) package bacon
    • ¼ cup bacon drippings
    • 1 small head cabbage, cored and finely chopped
    • ground black pepper to taste

    Directions:
    Cook bacon in a deep skillet over medium heat until crisp, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove bacon from skillet and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Reserve ¼ cup drippings in skillet.

    Cook and stir cabbage in hot bacon drippings over medium heat until cabbage wilts, 5 to 7 minutes.

    Crumble bacon over cabbage. Stir and simmer until bacon is warmed, 2 to 3 minutes. Season with black pepper. Serve.

    I like my cabbage crisp so I don't cook it long. I like pork bacon.

    This recipe comes to us from Jan Ryan.
    2-10 oz. package gluten-free elbows
    1-10 oz. package frozen, chopped spinach, cooked
    Double the gluten-free cream of mushroom soup (above). Use canned mushrooms. Add milk to fill evaporated milk can to top. (Is this confusing? You dont need the whole can of evaporated. Milk, just ½ C. So add 2% milk to remaining evaporated milk in can to refill can)
    One 12 oz. can solid white tune (gluten-free)
    Salt & pepper to taste
    Cook noodles and drain. Mix all together. Fill 2 regular casserole dishes. Crumble Barbaras Crisp Rice Cereal over top. Bake at 350 degrees. for 1 hour uncovered.

    Ingredients:

    Six cups frozen hash browns Two cups diced ham or sausage Four green onions, chopped, or dried onion One-half green pepper, diced Two cups cheddar cheese, grated
    Directions:
    Layer this in the bottom of a greased 9"x13" pan, and pour this mixture over the top:
    Six eggs One quarter cup milk One quarter cup gluten-free sour cream Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Bake uncovered at 400F degrees for 45-55 minutes or until brown.

The following recipe is for All-American gluten-free hamburgers. The recipe is easy and the results are delicious. Try it for yourself!
    Gluten-Free Classic All  American Hamburgers (makes 4 1/4 lb. Patties)
    Ingredients:
