Celiac.com 10/23/2014 - If you are someone who likes getting a surprise in the mailbox on a regular basis, a delivery of new gluten-free products from Send Me Gluten Free is definitely something you should try.

Each month a variety of gluten-free items will arrive on your doorstep in a bright orange box. The ability to try different products and compare them is a smart idea. For example, in the box I received, there were bar/granola products from three different companies, and two bags of chips (lentil and apple), along with personal care products and coupons which could be used on future purchases.

Celiac.com 09/30/2014 - If you're a fan of granola, you'll want to try this unique product. Each 10 ounce bag is freshly made using organic honey, three different kinds of nuts, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, olive oil,
and sea salt.

The most unique thing about this granola is that is is grain-free. It's so good, I have never tasted anything like it. This granola also comes in four different flavors and lasts up to six months when refrigerated. I love it that chef Jason Kahn has created a product that is healthy and absolutely delicious!

When I heard there was a new rice snack that was crispy yet also soft enough to melt in my mouth, I had to try it. And boy am I glad I did...these snacks are awesome!

Open Original Shared LinkKameda USA, Inc. clearly has hit a home run with this product. These Gluten Free Baked Frosted Rice Snacks are delicately sweet. The hint of sea salt perfectly balances the creamy vanilla frosting on top. I have never tasted anything like it. These treats are not only unique and delicious, but they also are not bad for you! With only 50 calories in a package of two, you'll be able to eat as many as you want as a snack, or for dessert, and not feel guilty.

They are also low in sodium, low in sugar and have no saturated fat. Another thing I like about this product is that there are 12 packages (two crisps wrapped in cellophane) in each bag. They are sure to last a long time (longer than a bag of chips) if you can manage to eat only one package a day...so far, I haven't been able to do that!

As a person with an intolerance to wheat, barley, and other grains and products with gluten in them, I have sampled numerous vitamins and supplements over the years. One of the best I have ever taken is CeliAct. I am happy to say that this supplement has recently been reformulated and it is now better than ever.

Open Original Shared LinkOne of the biggest changes to CeliAct is the recommended dosage. The new serving size is 2 soft capsules a day compared to the former serving size of 6 large hard tablets taken two times a day. These old tablets were so big I had to cut them in half to take them - but that is no longer a problem because the new capsules are soft and very easy to swallow. This is a big improvement!

There are several other significant changes to this supplement in terms of the ingredients, the amount per serving, and the percent of Daily Value (%DV) including increases in Vitamin D, Biotin and Zinc, as well as the addition of Folate and Magnesium Oxide. Another benefit of this supplement is that it provides 2 billion live cultures per serving of Bacillus Coagulans for intestinal health.

If you have celiac disease and you plan on trying a supplement to help you feel better, I highly recommend CeliAct Gluten Free Diet Support.

Libre Naturals has made a gluten free granola bar that is hard to resist. Why do I love these bars so much? Let me count the ways.

For one, these gluten-free chewy granola bars are made in a dedicated gluten-free facility, and contain 55% organic cocoa mini chocolate chips and whole grain certified gluten-free oats. They use evaporated cane sugar and brown rice syrup to add sweetness that is perfectly sublime, but not overpowering.

The bars are crunchy and satisfying. I found them to be a perfect snack anytime of the day.

Celiac.com 05/08/2014 - Ramen are traditional Japanese-style noodle cakes which unfold while you cook them.

King Soba's Organic Buckwheat Ramen are the healthiest and the best tasting ramen you can buy.

It is made with only two ingredients, organic buckwheat flour and water, these ramen noodles can be used in a variety of ways – as a snack, in stir-fry dishes or mixed in with broth to provide taste and texture.

Buckwheat comes from a plant that is in the rhubarb family (who would have known?) and it has a unique nutty flavor. You'll never eat the other kind of ramen again after you've tried these noodles from King Soba.

Celiac.com 04/24/2014 - Do you have the genetic markers for celiac disease? This product will provide you with a definitive answer.

The Glutenpro Celiac Genesure Genetic Test tests for the presence of the HLA DQ2 and HLA DQ8 genotypes. A positive test means you are at risk for the disease, but it does not necessarily mean you will develop it. A negative result means you do not have celiac disease and can never develop it.

According to Glutenpro, those who have a family history of celiac, Type 1 diabetes or Downs Syndrome and get lab tests done for celiac disease on a regular basis will no longer have to do this, should their genetic test be negative.

Taking this test is super easy. After your kit arrives in the mail all you do is swab the inside of your cheek three different times using three swabs. Allow the swabs to dry, return them in the envelope provided (you pay postage) and include your personal information, and you'll receive your results in about 10 business days.

My test results indicated that I'm negative, which is good to know for both myself and my kids.
