    Domino's Pizza Now Offers
I have a big issue with what I believe to be a misleading headline in a recent joint press release by Domino's Pizza and the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA)...here is the headline:
"Domino’s Pizza Becomes First National Pizza Delivery Chain to Offer Gluten Free Crust"
When you read the release further, starting at the 5th paragraph, which many people will never get to, it says:
"While Domino’s new Gluten Free Crust is appropriate for those with mild gluten sensitivity, Domino’s and the NFCA do not recommend it for those with celiac disease. Domino’s and the NFCA found that while the crust is certified as gluten free, current store operations at Domino’s cannot guarantee that each handcrafted pizza will be completely free from gluten."
    So my...

Gluten-free Pizza Sets Record for World's Largest Pie
Celiac.com 01/11/2013 - In case you were wondering just how big gluten-free pizza has become, the answer is: Big. Very big. World-record big.
Consider the recent news from Italy, where five chefs joined forces to craft the world's largest pizza, a pizza which also happens to be gluten-free.
The pie shattered the previous world record for largest pizza ever baked, and set a new record for world's largest gluten-free pizza.
To make the pizza, the chefs used 19,800 pounds of Schar gluten-free flour, 2,480 gallons of water, 10,000 pounds of tomato sauce, 8,800 pounds of mozzarella cheese, 1,488 pounds of margarine, 551 pounds of rock salt, 275 pounds of parmesan cheese, 220 pounds of lettuce and 55 pounds of vinegar, and 298 gallons of yeast.
    The final product...

Is This the World's Most Amazing Gluten-free Pizza?
Celiac.com 06/02/2015 - Consider the real estate saying about: Location, location, location. Now, ask yourself how far would you go for a good gluten-free pizza?
Or, alternatively, imagine yourself out in the middle nowhere, the middle of the pacific ocean, say, and ask yourself how over-the-top happy would you be to discover a floating bar serving cold beverages and wood-fired gluten-free pizzas?
I'm guessing you would be very happy. You might even say you were on "Cloud 9." And, if you happened to be in Fiji, you would be correct.
For Cloud 9 is the name for a bar and restaurant that floats off the west coast of the pacific island of Fiji, boasting a full bar, and wood fired Italian-style pizzas, including, yes, gluten-free pizzas.
So, if you're lucky enough to find yourself...

Papa John's New Gluten-Free Pizza Not Safe For Celiacs
Celiac.com 08/14/2017 - Pizza chain Papa John's is warning consumers that its new gluten-free pizza is not safe for people with celiac disease or serious gluten intolerance.
After announcing on Monday that it was introducing a gluten-free crust made with sorghum, teff, amaranth, and quinoa at locations across the US, the company warned that it does not recommend the crust for people with a serious gluten intolerance.
An official statement from the company reads in part:
"Papa John's employs procedures to prevent contact with gluten…it is possible that a pizza with gluten-free crust could be exposed to gluten during the in-store, pizza-making process. Therefore, the brand does not recommend its Gluten-Free Crust made with Ancient Grains for customers with Celiac D...
