    For starters I've ultimately felt like garbage for nearly ten years. I was a runner who was putting in 50 to 70 miles a week and that abruptly stopped in 2011...     Welcome to the forum!     have you considered getting that celiac disease test again?  See if your antibodies have gone down into the normal range?  It might be worth seeing a GI and getting that HIDA scan.  My scan revealed 0% functionality and it ended up getting infected.  I never had stones.  So, I urge you to get it checked out.  
    I think not. Biopsies to check for celiac disease are not considered valid unless the patient has been currently consuming gluten on a regular basis. So for clarification's sake, I assume you have not been officially diagnosed with celiac disease but at some point before the hemicolectomy you put yourself on a gluten-free diet.
