    i had like 3 apples yesterday....  then later at night towards morning my gut was hurting a bit...   stay away from apples ???????????   Apples contain the sugar fructose, which is a FODMAP - foods that aren't easily digestible. Combined with fibre, the fructose sits in the digestive system for longer. It ferments, creating extra trapped gas, which may cause bloating pain.
