I was diagnosed with celiac disease 3.5 years ago. Since then, I have kept a very, very strict diet as I have had many ups and downs from various sources along the way (mostly from restaurant mistakes, cross contamination, etc.).

The other day, while on holidays I was given floured tortilla shells instead of the corn I requested. As I was with a group of people and we were all talking and having a good time I didn't notice they were made of flour until I finished one. The most interesting thing was I didn't have any symptoms. This is very unusual for me as I am usually very sensitive and have had to move to having my own food sources seperate from my family because of crumb contamination (i.e. my own butter and peanut butter etc.)

Has anyone ever experienced something like this before?

I would of been in the rest room in about 10 minutes after that. I'd try and find out what kind they were. Just so you can read the label ..
