First Dr's Visit Post Diagnosis

Hello,

 

Tomorrow morning will be my first dr's visit since my diagnosis. I am going to ask for the following blood tests, please let me know if I've missed anything.

CBC

CMP

SED RATE

Iron/Ferritin levels

B-12

Folate

 

I have been hypo-thyroid for about 15 years now, so the thyroid panel will also be run.

 

Am I missing anything?

Could ask to run the  Celiac panel again if you think you have been very gluten-free for 3 months or longer.  The numbers might not be perfect, but you could see them going down.  Or mention that you want to get them tested 6 months gluten-free and get that scheduled.

Great, thanks on both counts. Sorry about posting in the wrong place.

 

I was thinking of asking for the Celiac panel to be run again. It's been 4 months since going gluten free. (Was diagnosed on April 1st)

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

      Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
