For All My Corn Intolerant Friends

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

I know fresh turkeys aren't injected, but I was just on the Butterball website and discovered that their frozen turkey breasts have nothing but turkey in them. Not injected with anything, so if you like the convenience of frozen turkey, that's the way to go. Even if you're cooking for a crowd this year you could get one of these for yourself.

I'm going to get one this year. I think I'll make the stuffing using udi's and try to do it the way Mom used to, with sage and other spices. And if there aren't enough drippings to make gravy I'll just get some of that Pacific broth.

I could PROBABLY eat injected turkey now because I think my corn intolerance is gone, but I'm only one person and like the white meat better anyway. I'm so excited! Haven't had turkey in years. It's going to be a great Thanksgiving this year!!

yes it says meat only, but I have had a soy reaction to it. I'm unable to trust any sandwich meat product. :(

It is NOT a sandich meat product. It is a frozen turkey breast and if it had soy it would have to say so by law. Soy is one of the top eight allergens and it MUST labeled.

Check out the ingredients at the bottom of the box on the right: http://www.butterball.com/products/turkey-roasts-and-whole-breasts/frozen-whole-turkey-breast

And you could use packing peanuts for stuffing. (That is of course if you don't have a peanut allergy or an intolerance to plastic legumes. )

Just be careful handling. Use a clean cutting board, cook thoroughly, and refrigerate promptly. After all, we wouldn't want any of THESE growing on your turkey: http://www.hasbro.com/en_US/shop/details.cfm?R=8EC0FDC6-6D40-1014-8BF0-9EFBF894F9D4:en_US

This is hilarious. Maybe instead of buying a bunch of food I don't need I should just make a Thanksgiving pizza and get all the appropriate toys for table decorations. At least I'd still have a turkey and potatoes on the table!

I'm laughing so hard my stomach hurts! Do you think that means I may have celiac disease?

No. It wasn't caused by gluten. There was no gluten in these posts. There was a lot of plastic - so... Maybe you are allergic to dinosaurs?

And of course, no Thanksgiving dinner would be complete without this: http://www.toysrus.com/buy/preschool/mr.-potato-head-2253-12272894 (Do you think he'd mind being mashed?)

mr potato head is $7.99!!??  man alive, i remember when it was like, 3 bucks and you could get him at the pharmacy on the way to cousin bob's 7th kids birthday party.   i find it disturbing that you can get a replacement policy on him, lolz  ^_^
