Hi hi,
I guess the only way to find this out is to test it but I'm curious as to whether sensitivity (which I understand varies for different people) has a genetic component as well as the actual disease.
My grandmother gets sick from glucose syrup and other things Australia lawfully deems safe and I haven't tried it yet as not willing to get sick again yet... But on this forum I've learned that the majority of people are fine with it.
Which made me wonder...do you have relatives with Coeliac disease and have you inherited 'their's or your own body's version :) ?

i am super sensitive to gluten, and allergic to dairy and soy. I look back at what my mom used to eat, I lost her 7 years ago at 94 years old, and realized she only ate plain things, wouldn't eat bread, and was very sensitive to food in general. there was never any sense of diagnosing anything, and I didn't even know any of this existed then. recently I was speaking to a cousin of mine who is much older than me, and she told me my grandmother had something that started with "C" and was very restricted on what she could eat. I was young when she died so have no memories of this.

gluten free since 11/12

dairy and soy free since 1/13

chocolate free since 6/14

I miss my chocolate!!!   but I'm not sick anymore, and that's what really matters  :)

Wow! Interesting! And I'm sorry your other family members went through that without the knowledge we're lucky enough to have about dealing with it now. <3
