I don't know what to eat!

I got glutened pretty badly last Thursday and have been having a pretty hard time eating. When I get glutened really badly like this my anxiety gets REALLY bad and when my anxiety is really bad I have pretty much no appetite. The day after I got glutened I felt okay but wasn't eating much, the second day I was pretty much eating normally.. but after dinner I started to feel very anxious. This kind of triggered a whole big thing that I'm now trying to get over. For the next three days I was so incredibly anxious that I barely ate a thing. I had an appointment to get braces yesterday and I know that I was anxious about that, but it was a million times worse because I got glutened. I ended up having to reschedule the appointment because it was so bad. My anxiety was a LOT better yesterday, and even better today (it's pretty much gone now), but I'm still not really eating. All I had yesterday was a smoothie and today I had a gluten-free corn dog. I know a corn dog probably isn't the best thing to eat, but it sounded good and I need to eat! However, my stomach was slightly upset afterwards. It still is actually.. it's a really odd feeling. I don't feel bloated or sick and it doesn't hurt, it's just like an uncomfortable feeling. It's hard to describe. And I'm not sure if it has anything to do with getting glutened or if it's from barely eating for almost 5 days. I'm almost scared to eat at this point! Pretty much any anxiety that I might have at this point, is from eating or even thinking about eating. What should I eat? I know that I need to and I'm just making it worse if I don't.. and I also know that it's only been (not even) two days since I really started feeling better from this anxiety, but it's quite frustrating and I feel like it will never get better. How am I supposed to start eating normally again?

Your worrying is just making things worse and stress alone can cause upset stomach. get some bland food in you to start, your body needs food. If you have no other food issues eat some rice, chicken, vegetables, yogurt,  peanut butter on gluten-free toast etc... You're stomach will settle soon try not to worry too much. Stay away from junk and eat fresh healthy food and you'll be much better in no time.  Now go and eat something...you can get through this!

If you can, try to stick to easily digestible whole foods that are naturally gluten-free instead of processed gluten-free foods.   The less energy your body has to spend on hard-to-digest items, the more it can spend on healing your body and brain.

Examples... plain rice, steamed veggies, bananas, sauerkraut, avocadoes, fruit and veggie smoothies, revital-x powder drinks, etc.

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
