What is a safe vinegar?

I know that there is several types of safe ones out there like apple cider and red wine but what about regular vinegar? I remember I used to eat a cucumber and onion salad that was made with vinegar and would love to eat it again. If you know a good brand, let me know please.

Brand wise I use Nuco Coconut vinegar, the seasoned ones are great on salads  and Pompeian for balsamic and red wine ones on salads and in stir frys to give it a bit flavor and bite. Braggs for a apple cider one that goes great in sauces.
