Newly Diagnosed + IgA deficiency

Hi there, 

I have been recently diagnosed with Celiacs Disease.  I have had extremely low iron and the supplements were doing little to raise my iron levels.  My Dr ordered Celiac testing  to see if this is why my iron levels were not going up.  Here are some of my results:

Tissue Transglutaminase Ab, IgG : Greater than 100

Deamidated Gliadin 116

IgA less than 5

I also have what he said is Selective IgA deficiency and he has referred me to a specialist.  

So I just had a couple of questions -

Has anyone here had experience with Celiac Disease and IgA deficiency?  Does going gluten free help your IgA deficiency go up? I am sure I will get answers from the specialist, but thought I would see if anyone here had first hand experience and could offer any info. 

For those of you with anemia, how long did it take for your iron levels to return to normal once you went gluten free?
