Go for high protein fat, fiber shakes to maintain muscle and force your body to burn fat for fuel. No/low carb forces the body into a ketogenic state and then pulsing down to below you needed fats for constant fuel leads you body to trim out. -_- I never get to the stage of having to pulse them down but that is the basis to my diet.
