My doctor ran some celiac screening tests because my son *might* have latent celiac disease. After she got my results, she referred me to a GI to follow up because she called the results inconclusive. I can't get any appt until September and I don't if I should go back to my pcp and have her run a full celiac panel. What are your thoughts?

Below are my results

GLIADIN (DEAMIDATED) AB,IGG  3  Reference Range: <20 UNITS

GLIADIN (DEAMIDATED) AB,IGA  28 H Reference Range: <20 UNITS

TISSUE TRANSGLUTAM AB (IGA) <1  Reference Range: <4 U/ML

RETICULIN IGA SCREEN Negative  Reference Range: Negative

You have the positive on the DGP IgA. 1 positive is enough to move forward with an endoscopic biopsy. You must keep eating gluten each day or you could quit now & begin again around 1 month prior to the GI appointment. I warn you though that if you quit & then resume, you are most likely going to have a much more severe reaction than if you had never quit at all.

Try to see if there are any cancellations with the GI.  I had the complete celiac panel many times.  I only get a positive on the DGP IgA (even in follow-up testing) and I am biopsy confirmed.   Why?  My doctors do not know.  This is one example why there are several celiac blood tests.

Thank you! I'm really hoping this was a fluke and I don't have celiac disease.
