Message from the Organizing Committee

XII International Celiac Disease Symposium 2006

November 9-11, 2006

Registration Available in Jan. 2006

Hilton New York

1335 Avenue of the Americas

New York, NY

Celiac disease will take center stage in New York City as the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University hosts the XII International Celiac Disease Symposium 2006, which will bring an unprecedented opportunity for each of you to help shape the future of celiac disease by participating in the symposium, November 9-11, 2006 at the Hilton NY Hotel, New York City. We invite you to participate in this unique and important world gathering, confident that together we can profoundly improve the lives of celiac patients around the globe.

The symposium is expected to attract healthcare industry leaders, clinicians, nutritionists, diagnostic and pharmaceutical executives, scientists, policy makers, patients and journalists and will touch on every aspect of adult and pediatric celiac disease – diagnosis, treatment, business development, science and public policy and has emerged as the single most important forum for bringing together the players who will determine the nature of celiac disease and its impact on patients around the globe.

Over the next few months, you'll find sessions, speakers, workshops, registration, sponsorship opportunities, exhibiting information, descriptions of the events and activities, housing and on our lineup of spectacular receptions in New York City online at www.celiacdiseasecenter.org. We believe this is by far the richest program and the most compelling showcase for celiac disease ever hosted.

Most importantly, it's the energy and intelligence of our speakers, exhibitors and attendees that we're counting on to bring this program to life. We look forward to seeing you there!

With best wishes,

2006 Organizing Committee

I heard about it last year and got the notice in the mail a few weeks ago. In my own city--and it starts on a Thursday... and I'm in school for 2 of the 3 days. I'm crushed.

If anyone goes, tell me about it. It's basically the biggest conference that exists... takes place around the world... Ireland last year.

It's mainly that my SCHOOL wouldn't let me off from school--I'll undoubtedly have many tests and they wouldn't consider it a legitimate excuse. People are rarely absent and you can only miss school for a school-related issue (i.e. debate team leaving early for an away tournament).

I did it to keep the topic at the view new posts part for the rest of the time before the early regiestration dates go out so new people on the site would see this, and i didn't want to start a new topic cause we already had one going.

Bumping this up....so who is going?

I believe that I am going! I think Jillian (jkmunchkin) said she might go, also. Who else? I'd love to meet up with others.

I'm also going to see Dr. Leo Galland in NYC while I'm there....he specializes in integrative medicine and leaky gut/food intolerances. Since I'm having so many food issues, I figured I'd see him and do the Celiac conference while I'm there. But I can't partake in all the gluten free delights at the conference though...booo.

Write back if you are going so we can get together!

April 17-27, 2020   For the past few years many of you have asked us to arrange a River Boat Cruise that will allow us to visit Amsterdam's famous Keukenhof Gardens at its prime time of the blossoming of the millions of Tulips and Hyacinths - alongside the windmills of the Netherlands.  With the participation of a minimum of 20 persons we have arranged an All-Inclusive Cruise from Antwerp to Amsterdam.  This cruise will not be offered to the public until January, 2019 and always sells out quickly.   THERE WILL BE NO MONEY REQUIRED NOR COMMITMENT FROM YOU until we have all the final costs and details.  If you are at all interested check out our website for as many of the details that we have as of this time.   We need your request to be placed on a list of interested participants so we can present that number to Uniworld to show we have the sincere interest in this All-Inclusive Bob & Ruth's Gluten-free Cruise.   PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE FOR THE DETAILED INFORMATION THAT WE HAVE AS OF THIS TIME.   http://bobandruths.com
