Recipe For Cream Of Chicken Soup

I am looking to make a few family recipe casserole dishes, but they all call for cream of chicken soup! Does anyone know if you can make this and how?

I got this from my other allergy board...haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to.

1 whole chicken

1/4 cup flour of choice for thickening

salt and pepper


Place chicken in large pot of water, and bring to a boil. Turn heat down slightly, keeping at a low boil, and cook for hours.

Remove and debone chicken. Either set meat aside for another purpose, or chop and return to broth.

Season to taste with salt and pepper. Stir in flour to thicken.



Use dairy, soy, gluten and/or corn free ingredients as needed. Use any flour that works well for thickening.
