frustrated by mislabeling

new to celiac, joined thrive market for access to more gluten-free products. ordered gluten free mac and cheese cooked ate and as i threw away the box i saw the tiny print saying processed on same machinery as wheat. frustrated and defeated.

Although many people with celiac disease do avoid products that are made in the same facility, there are also many who do consume them. If the item has "gluten-free" on the label it is likely that they take precautions to avoid cross-contamination with wheat, and it is gluten-free, but you would need to contact the manufacturer directly to see what steps they take to avoid contamination.

      The ulcers are prepyloric ulcers. Not sure if that makes any difference.

      I had what was termed "lesions," and normally ulcers are in the stomach, rather than the small intestines. I'm not sure why they would want you to have her continue to eat gluten, since she had a positive blood test, but as her doctor said, if she is uncomfortable and having symptoms why not have her go gluten-free at this point? If her symptoms improve, it would be another indicator that she has celiac disease and/or gluten sensitivity. This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):
