Paula.....what do they say?

opps that might help huh lol

Ok the good news first, no tapeworms, parasites or yeast.

Bad news:

I have blood in my stool, so i have to do 2 more test to figure that out.

Pathogens/Bacterial Overgrowth Detected:

--------------------------------------------------------Klebsiella/

Enterobacter/Serratia Group. Moderate

Gamma Hemolytic Streptococcus - Rare

Citrobacter species - Rare

Corynebacterium species. - Moderate

Other Findings:

--------------------Lactobacillus

species. - Moderate

I have no idea what any of that means lol

My leaky gut is severe, under 400 is low. I am a 7

my alpha anti-chymotrypsin is shown to be in the range of mild colitis

my chymotrypsin is extremly low showing poor pancreatic outpu

Now for the extremly confusing aspect of the whole test

I test positve for gluten. I have been off gluten for almost 2 years (or so i thought)

Wow Paula! You did this test on your own right?

I went threw the same person that did that hair test. She did send me an protocol and some explaination but im still confused.

The only thing i can think of is, im still getting gluten from something (maybe redbridge isnt 100 precetn gluten free lol) or maybe i am just one of the lucky ones, that dont get rid of gluten after 2 years.

I had Klebsiella and H.Pylori, so they treated the H.Pylori and not the Klebsiella...the treatment for HPylori was a prevpac which included two antibiotics and a proton pump inhibitor, so they said the antibiotics would take care of teh Klebsiella too.

I asked about doing teh test on your own because with the blood, I really think you should have someone you are working with. The found blood in my stool two years ago...I ended up being sent to a GI and having a colonoscopy and an endoscopy (which is how they found my tumor, lol, but THAT didn't cause the bleeding!).

I tested negative for h. pylori. I was hoping you didnt say antibotics, im allergic to most of them.

The blood im not really freaking out on yet, cause i did have an hemmie an week prior to the test. I have to order two more test for they can test for something, im waiting to hear back on that.

I am going to see about getting an endo and colonscopy. Im hoping i can find somewhere i can just do the pill cam, that way they can see every inch of my inside tract.

who is trying not to freak out, which is really hard lol

M.'s pep talk got me excited again. I let out some tears, talked about what I felt.....and now I'm moving forward cuz she said I'm a fighter...and I will get through it. :)

I always like to read that M's given you a pep talk. I also agree you are a fighter or you wouldn't have made the progress you have thus far.

Yeah....and I cant wait for you to start seeing the "new" ones. :P:D

Dont forget that surgery is on TUESDAY. ;)

I can't wait for her to see them either.

Welcome littlelymie! So nice that you joined in and I hope to hear more from you. :D

Paula,

I have to agree with everyone about not doing anything that could upset your system more. I know I have parasites and metals, but until I can get my teeth done and do more testing, I'm just in a holding pattern. Sometimes I hate it, but at least I'm doing pretty good overall. I don't wan to do anything that's going to jeopardize my health any further.

To start, see what you can do to clean up your diet so you aren't so reactive. Of course, if your home is full of hidden mold then you'll still be highly reactive.

I wouldnt totally rule out parasites or yeast based on just this stool test because they arent really reliable for finding these issues.

I have no experience with the klebsiella (not yet anyway). Donna knows more about that. ;)

How do they test for gluten? Is it an antibody test? I dont know if anything showing up in a stool test means that you definately are still exposing yourself to gluten. I think antibodies in stool can show up for a long time after gluten-free.....unlike bloodwork.

Since your kitchen isnt totally gluten-free.....its a possibility that you're getting exposed. I dont think that would be your main problem unless you have Celiac and are constantly getting glutened?

It would be good to have the endo and colonoscopy to check everything out.

Thanks Andrea. :)

I think she feels like when I get a little bit down that I might be giving up. Thats not even a possibility though...I'm so far from that....but yeah....I guess she needed to know that I'm definately NOT losing hope or anything close to that. She wanted me to see all of the positive things that are happening....and I do. :)

I agree with this. The mold could cause all kinds of issues and you wont be able to heal if you are constantly exposed to it.

It is an antibody test for gluten. But if it is cause it stays in your body longer then it does in a blood test, then wouldnt my casein still be elevated. I was negative for casein, soy and eggs.

Maybe it is just time to face the facts that I am celiac.

Would all the mold exposure cause such an leaky gut.

I havent ruled the parasites and yeast out all the way.

Not necessarily.......you were using two different labs and noones ever proven that stool test results for gluten/casein antibodies are reproduceable.

Even if you do this antibody stool test at the same time....but with two different labs....I doubt the results would be the same. They may be very different.

Yes, the mold exposure can do alot of things. It can suppress your immune system so that you are more susceptible to bacteria and other pathogens. It can impair detoxification. It can lead to imbalances in the body. It can lead to digestive problems. It can allow heavy metals and other toxins to accumulate. Any and all of these things can contribute to leaky gut.

That is true, just like people can do hair test at two different labs and they are different.

Im wondering if i can eat cheese then, since this test was negative lol. I am dreaming, i know, cause of hte mold issue lol

I am really starting to hate mold more and more every moment. MOld wouldnt cause blood in my stool tho, tight.

I have been researching and im not sure if im learning more, or getting more scared by the moment,

Paula...the exposure would over time weaken your body....so it could essentially lead to any type of problem. The mold might not directly cause blood in your stool.....but if your body is not in a healthy state (because you are overly toxic) then alot of things can happen as a result of your body not functioning like it would if it wasnt so burdened.

It would be a good idea to figure out if mold is your main problem and then try to see how you can resolve that. If it is your problem you dont want to continue putting that kind of stress on your system.

If researching is causing more stress.....dont do it. You dont want to scare yourself. Dr. S. gave me that advice and it was good advice. Its good to research but not to the point where you're freaking yourself out. ;)

I FINALLY started to methylate a little last week. Dr. P couldn't figure out why the heck he couldn't push my pathways open...but we finally think we might have hit an answer. He started me on a couple of different antivirals, along with my other 30 supplements (lol!) and things started to change a bit. He thinks once I get back on antibiotics I'll do even better because the lyme could have it locked as well.

Mycoplasma 600x

B12 1,000x

Okay, I could honestly talk about this ALL day...I'm just so excited to see someone else talking about it. So I hope to continue conversation here, if that's okay with you guys :) I think a lot of my family and friends think I'm crazy, with my 1058395835 supplements and 201483895983 food sensitivitiesthe best :)

Hi lymie,

Nice to meet you...It's a small world here.

Just curious... what antivirals did Dr. P put you on?

and... does the massive number next to B12 X1000 mean that you need it but cannot tolerate it?

I started taking B12 pills a month ago, and at first it killed me, now I am way more desensitized to them, and they dont give me massive headaches like they did in the beginning. (just my experience)

It's cool because, I used to not be able to tolerate anything.

Do you have experience with B12 shots?

The only thing that scared me was the blood being colon cancer. I am actually learning some while i google.

Welcome, Littlelymie! I think it is wonderful that you have found us and that you and Rachel's situation are so similar! We are all learning together.

I think I have had partially blocked methylation, but I have been able to handle certain supplements really well, and I think metals are now moving out better. I really notice feeling better from the DMPS now.

I have been cycling Zithromax and Enula because ART testing showed I can't take them together. But since I clearly am symptomatic the whole two weeks I am on Enula, I am thinking I am going to experiment and stay on Enula instead of drop it when I go on Zith on Sunday. My best periods in the last two months have been the second week on Zith. I herx on both of them, on day 3-4.

Paula, lots of good feedback about your stool test. Since leaky gut is severe and gluten showed up, I think you should try to get a fat, protein, and carbohydrate residue test. The pancreatic enzyme problem is going to show up more in the protein digestion I think. If your carb residue is high, then I really think you should consider the SCD but modify initially to lower amounts of honey and fruit. This is a link to the intro diet recommended by the author of the Gut and Psychology; she talks a lot about the bad bacteria in the gut. http://www.gapsdiet.com/INTRODUCTION_DIET.html

Yes, that is interesting! I've been on Zith for a long time. I take 500 mg a day, currently it is two weeks on and two weeks off but that isn't enough I don't think.

I take 14 drops twice daily of Enula. That was the dose determined by ART.

I also take atemesinin, it is in combo herb called Nutricidal.

Babesia seems to be a bigger thing for me right now as well. Besides ART testing that shows that, I also had very strong hot flashes and sweats during the summer when I was off Zith. Then when I started cycling Zith, I noticed it was much worse when just on the Enula. Last Zith cycle they totally cleared up, this Enula cycle they came back but much more mildly. I thought it was menopause, LOL!

The other thing is that off Zith my symptoms return very quickly, within a couple of days. That does not suggest borrelia.

I have become much better overall treating lyme and metals but got stuck at that point and have not been able to get off antibiotics. Discovering celiac and the gut problems more recently, but didn't heal very well on GFCFSF. Doing better on SCD.

Hi Christine, it's nice to meet you too!

You aren't seeing Dr. P, Dr. T or Dr. S too, are you? Then that would be a VERY small world! lol!

Dr. P is using homeopathic anti virals on me. The most successful (the ONLY successful) one has been one called Subtilis. The other one that I'm taking is called Virex. I'm also on cordyceps which helps, and about 30 other nutritional and homeopathic supplements. I'm sure some of the other herbs and supplements help a little with viruses, such as vitamin A (anti viral components), but the subtilis is the only thing that's made a big enough difference to push me forward a little.

Glad the Subtilis is working for you... I had never heard of it before.

I looked up Sibtilis and Cordyceps, and did not find much info, except that they look like some bacterial fungi that modulate the immune system. Pretty cool.

Are they like magic mushrooms or something? I've always been fascinated with that stuff.

Ya wish I was able to see cool vodoo doctors, but I live in Ohio. Its not as progressive here. LOL

welcome littlelymie,

That is so cool, you see the same drs as rachel.

Who wants an houseguest for a couple of wseks, i want to see these drs lol

April,

YOu are right i need to figure out the mold, before i start anything with the metals. I am just so tired of being sick, i want to jump in and get rid of all the toxins in my body.

I looked up the iodine skin test, and some say after 4 hours, some say after 12 hours, some say after 24 hours if its still there then you are fine. When do i really have to worry lol

paula

Did you get your son's mattress out of the house?

About the iodine you time how long it takes to absorb. If its still quite visible after 24 hours then it could be you are fine. I find that if you use the store bought stuff - i think it has other stuff in it - it leaves a little bit on the skin.

I used plain iodine (internal) to paint the skin. I think mine dissapeared within 6 hours!

I agree with Sherry that the SCD might be a good start for you to encourage gut healing. I have my son on the diet and its really not too hard to do. I like the recipes much better than most of the gluten free stuff I used to 'try" to make.

Leaky gut can cause all kinds of symptoms which might be why you have such ups and downs.

If you can get your body to function at its best, then you might be able to feel more tolerable until you figure out this mold problem.

Here are some Iodine links.

This is another board and this section is all about iodine. There is a TON of articles posted here and other links.

If you don't *see* anything when you get there....try getting a login....some stuff is *hidden* if you are not a member...I just don't remember what is hidden. Or I can pull up the articles and post each one.

http://www.winningcancer.com/iodine/about-the-book/

I just bought and downloaded this book. I haven't read the whole thing yet, only in chapter 2. Its all about iodine.

http://www.magneticclay.com/store/Departme...ent-Iodine.aspx

I just bought this iodine...its supposed to be gentler than Lugols. I was taking Lugol's and finished the bottle. I also had a iodine teeth bacterial cleaning recently! Something new to me.

I'll see if I can find more sites on my work computer. Gotta go!

My daughter takes cordyceps and says it helped her a lot.

paula, i think I read here that mold can cause celiac reactions by itself.

I hope you get things straightened out soon.

I had the second scio yesterday and I still had some parasites but I am not tender in my intestines anymore. I had felt pain from gas moving inside for a couple of years. Back got much better, no more pain from bed except from lying in bed till ten on sunday. Yay. Lots of hormonal stuff going on and some stress. Machine said I was toxic. I do not know exaclty what. worked a lot n the back too , inflammation in three in c and piched nerves in t4 and lower down.

I can conclude it is good for inflammation etc. so far.

Well im not sure when my iodine disappeared, but when i woke up at 6 am it was gone. I know it was still there but very light at 9 pm lol.

Well I finally figured out i dont have an leaky gut, i have an depressed siga, because i am in the normal range, just at the very lowest score spectrum. At least that is how im taking it. When i research this, it does make sense. It says i have a long time transient between bm's, which i have known for a long time. It says it happens due to stress, i have been under major stress lately. It says when you have an depressed siga, your body is an host for lots of bacteria, infections, parasites and yeast. I can have an higher suspectibility to mold. So this all makes sense to me.

I researched the occult blood and it says it can be from anemia or hemroids. I am extremely anemic, i have been for years, my body just doesnt like iron pills. So I am not fraking out on the blood, jsut yet. Maybe if the two test show something then ill completely freak out.

Some of my problems could come from my adrenals or thyroid, so I am ordering that test today, to see if i can get some more answers. SInce thyroid problems do run in my family.

I really think I am starting to get somewhere with my health. I know it is going to take lots of time to be "ME" again but im determined to get there.

Thanks for all your help on this board, i have no idea what i would do without any of you. SOme days i think i would be insane without all of you.

Thank you for all of the suggestions and information.  I will see a lot of the symptoms that I have that I didn't mention listed caused by lack of certain enzymes.  I have blood tests every 3 months.
