Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Recommended Posts

Awwww...I hope its gotten better today. You could always test the supplement that Scott gave you later on and see if the nausea comes back??

Yep, tried it this morning and I've got the nauseated feeling again. I won't take any more for a few days just to be sure.

Amazingly that was the only time I ever got sick or any hangover at all. A bunch of us went out in a limo that night and went bar hopping. Since it was my 21st every bar we went to people were giving me all kinds of drinks...all different stuff. Random people at the bar, my friends, the bartenders....OMG...I dont know how I was still standing at the end of the night.

When I was in my 20s I met my future husband...he was a bartender. Um, not a good thing, lol. Anyway when we got married and were about to move to Hawaii...the night before we left we went into the club where he worked and all his friends were buying us shots. They (the shots) were lined up on the bar--lots of them. Ugh...I was so very sick, lol. That put the cure in me and really didn't drink a lot after that, but did drink at clubs and stuff. The last time I tried to have any alcohol was about 3 years ago at my cousin's wedding. I tried 1 glass of champagne and got so tipsy it was unnatural...the next day felt terrible, so that was it...well except for the Belinis I tried at the actual wedding...those were really good, same results though. :P

I rarely would drink hard alcohol or mixed drinks...I was basically content to only drink beer...beer is my favorite. So yeah that night...I probably had every kind of drink imaginable...plus all the champagne in the limo....and I dont remember anything past the 2nd bar we went to. I think I had fun though.

I don't like beer at all, and in fact, don't like the taste of alcohol at all, so usually go for the stuff that tastes sweet and fruity...that's a big mistake I think, lol.

Do you think it could take awhile to kick in though?? I wasnt nauseated after the sauna...it wasnt until after I woke up and ate breakfast.

I crave chips (tostitos) way more than I crave sweets but I dont cave in because I know the mold will get to me....and I know I cant just eat a couple. There was salsa and chips in the breakroom....everyone was raving about the salsa which my boss made but I went for the lemon pie thinking it would be safer. I'm sure the chips and salsa would have been worse for me.

Yeah...too bad she didnt get called out of her office for something...leaving me alone with the brownies. :P

I suppose it could take a while to kick in. Did you shower or bathe when you got home...I saw that on Anna's site I think...to wash the toxins off. If you didn't shower or bathe right away, maybe the toxins just hung around too long...if you took a bath right away then I don't know. When I get my massages the therapist always says to go home and drink lots of water (in fact she gives me a bottle of water to drink on the way home) and to take a nice not bath with epsom salts to help pull out and wash the toxins off.

Dont know what all that means exactly...but hopefully it means toxins will start getting excreted. :P

Yeah....the oats was the last one in the panel...you could see the little oat flakes. I remember that it made me hungry...I wanted to eat the oats.

Anna moves so darned fast I didn't really see many of the vials, lol. I just love oats and really miss them! :(

He's very thorough so hes going to want testing for sure...he's probably gonna want Anna's input as well. If he does come to the conclusion of Lyme but the tests arent showing positive....he wont use antibiotics. At least thats what I'm thinking from my own experiences with him.

He will use natural treatments over antibiotics when the tests arent clear. I think he prefers natural treatment regardless. Thats kind of what Dr. Harris told me about him...that he's more conservative about using antibiotics.

I cant say for sure though...it could be he's more apprehensive with me because of having chemical sensitivities, candida, and just not tolerating things very well.

I'm curious to see how he handles things with you....once all the tests are in.

I'm interested too...I should have talked to Anna about the ART testing, but didn't even think about it. She is always rushing around so I always feel like I shouldn't slow her down, lol. It might have been wise to talk with her about it though. I will still mention that Anna didn't find it twice.

I thought I was dangerous last night I made a homemade(gluten free ) pizza crust and made my own pizza it was the first time I had any thing pizzish in a while - it came out so good !!! I topped it with caramelized onions spinach and some ground lamb and homemade tomato sauce (which was basically tomatos garlic and olive oil) .

That sounds incredibly good! :)

She has 2 beautiful daughters, who are now 5 and 11--and she has been dyeng their hairblonde for nearly 2 years. Their natural color was a kind of golden brown for the older, and mousy brown for the younger. Now they have what one of my friends calls "trailer trash" hair--harsh blonde with dark roots.

Can you imagine what she has done to their self-images? It's like she has told them that they are not good enough or pretty enough the way they really are. They're children!

Unbelievable!!!

Those poor girls. :(

I hope you can get around this somehow. Did everything Scott recommended get run through bioSET to see about you compatibility.

Both you and Rachel have appointments this week but I forget who was when. I want to say the 23rd and 26th or the 24th and 26th or 27th for you two.

No, they haven't been tested by BioSET yet....that's a good idea though...I think I will take this one in. Anna will carry the others and she's already tested me for one of them even though I don't have it yet, lol. I'll have her test the other two before I try them.

My appointment is on Tuesday the 24th at 2:00. I'm nervous. I've got all my new patient stuff filled out the I didn't like the stupid questionnaire...half my symptoms aren't on there, lol.

I dont like doing shots at all...blech!

The only ones I sort of like are Lemon Drops....I think thats what they're called....its been a long time.

I'm not too into the fruity type drinks but I do LOVE any kind of kaluha and cream type drink. I love White Russians!! :D

Yeah...I always bathe after having a sauna...I would feel gross if I didnt. :P

I didnt drink alot of water afterwards though. Also...I just read that you shouldnt eat before having the sauna...and I did eat before I left. <_<

Yeah...I can imagine how fast she must be moving on the weekends. Even on Friday when I went for my sauna it seemed busier than the other weekdays ...and she was rushing around. Its more calm during the weekdays I think. Sometimes shes rushed but not always. Lots of times shes just in her office doing stuff on her computer....I'll go in there and talk to her if I have a question.

Sounds like a lot of your symptoms are from mercury. If Scott said the lyme could be handled with something milder (than antibiotics), then maybe your antibiotic runs through the last 4-6 years have taken care of a lot of it......otherwise it's hiding and will come out more after some chelation/detox.

I hate those questionnaire's too.

I'll be waiting on Tuesday for your update and what your first impression is. :)

Have a question from the gal on the headcovering forum.

She and her daughter probably have problems with mercury. Her daughter used a lot of betadine through the years and now when she gets stressed she breaks out in yellow splotches on her hands.

Anyone know anything about betadine?

My list of metals symptoms would be very similar to Rachel's and some of my responses are pretty close too. I'm taking my own list of symptoms to Dr. S. His little piddly list doesn't nearly cover it. My list of lyme symptoms is pretty impressive too.

Yah, they could be although he said that wasn't my biggest problem, lol. He did say he still saw metals, but lyme seemed to be my biggest thing. Almost all of what he saw, metals, candida and lyme was "handled" by the supplements I was was already taking...except for the one I started yesterday which is what I think is making me feel queasy and the one Anna has on order. He didn't test me for the NT Factor which is the third one that Anna wants to put me on.

Anyone know anything about betadine?

Sorry, don't really know anything about it..

Dear Alison,

Well, it is not that I hate that hair color altogether, I just hate it on me! It looks bad on me!

I am very confident as a raven-headed mistress. You see, I look exactly like my great-grandmother. She was naturally really dark-headed. I did blonde before, and it washed me out and made me look weird. My features just are not made for it.

So, last night, I decided to go to a Web site where you can do a virtual makeover. You can download your photo, then add celebrity hairstyles and make-up. I was not meant to have Jennifer Aniston's hair. I have to face facts, I want change for the better, but that will not bring it! I think I better stick with it.

Also, black hair shows shine much better than blonde. When my hair was blonde, it did not show shine much at all. I am not saying I am not grateful for my hair, but I look terrible with my natural color. If celebrities did not dye their hair, we would not be able to stand to look at them, I assure you!

It makes a huge difference!

I feel good in my black hair. I like how it looks. I think perhaps the change I am seeking is not there. I am just bored. I am tired of being sick. I am tired of having no money. I am tired of being stuck here with selfish, irresponsible people that are supposedly my genetic parents. My mother puts the dog's desires before my needs, if that tells you anything.

It sounds like that mother who dyes her little girls' hair is the same way. People should not do that to children! I never dyed my hair until I was a teenager. They have to control everything. You cannot be yourself. Everyone is always trying to make me into someone I am not, like a blonde or a reddish mousy brown chick. The black suits my personality, I think. I am staying true to myself. The dye I use is a henna rinse, so it is not as loaded with chemicals as others. There is no peroxide or ammonia.

Today, I asked her to please use the hand can opener because I had just cleaned the automatic one. I am afraid I will get glutened because his dog food is canned. It looked like it just had corn gluten, but I am so afraid of getting sick. I get glutened all the time as it is because she and my father are careless and could not care less how sick it makes me. In fact, they ignore how serious it is.

Dear Donna,

I can just see you grabbing and running with a brownie! I know the nausea is extremely difficult to deal with. I get that off and on all the time. I was doing well for a while, then after two months on the diet, it all got worse again. I know the Candida could be to blame.

Dear Mia,

That pizza sounded delicious! I wish I could have had some! I miss real food! Lasagne would be nice. Something that made me satisfied would be nice.

Sincerely,

NoGluGirl

Jin, that blood test was done while I was taking iron. Can you imagine how low it would be otherwise?! I went off the iron like the doc said, but within a week had RLS and started back up. I learned the connection between RLS and iron when they'd take my iron so often when I was pregnant ... if I was having RLS, it would be low. Looks like I could use a little more, but I'll just keep it here for now.

.......

Another good day again today. This is really strange. I don't feel like I used to feel, but I haven't felt this good for more than two years ...even though I've been sick this time for four years, it's only the past two that have been really bad.

One thing about chlorella is that it is high in iron and it is important to pay attention to it, I can't remember if you are taking chlorella Carla, it just seemed like a good spot to mention it. :)

I'm really glad to hear you are having some better days.

Donna, I feel that I am in somewhat the same position, as in, I know Lyme is there, and candida, and mercury and ...... I feel the most important thing for me to do is detox and as I do I am improving in every way. I don't think I will be doing ABX.

I am way behind, I won't pretend I can catch up. I'm very busy getting ready for a big food event on Thursday where I'll be presenting my creation. It is all looking very promising, the best (only my opinion  ) deli in town wants to sell my treats.

even a little piece of crust (which got in my bowel by accident)!!

I was going to catch up before I posted, but this :lol::lol: . I'm sure you meant "bowl"!!

I'm glad you felt okay afterward. :)

I'm in Phoenix. Since I'm off the meds for a few days, I could lay out in the sun for a little while. It felt SO GOOD. I hope the doxy is out of my system ... I had some patchy red spots when I came in, but I only stayed out 30 minutes.

I look forward to getting back on the mepron and biaxin as my babesia symptoms are acting up. Breathing is difficult and at times I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack because of the erratic heartbeat. They're all symptoms I've had before. I also am having more vertigo, and I had a night sweat the other night.

Yesterday, the day we were travelling ALL day, I had terrible GI difficulties and ended up taking Immodium. By the time we got to the hotel I was having terrible chills, I think it was dehydration. I thought it was weird that I went from Ohio to Arizona only to get cold. I drank a lot yesterday, but realized I was dehydrated when I couldn't stop eating the bacon off the breakfast buffet this morning -- probably for the salt!

I'm doing better now, and if I don't have any GI trouble today, I'll start the Mepron and Biaxin tomorrow. I think I'll drink some tonic water tonight for the quinine ... it has a very small amount, but I think anything would be better than nothing.

Rachel, the sauna will feel different after you use it the first few times. I feel the oily sweat in the beginning, but once the sweat becomes watery, I don't notice the oil so much, not because it's not there, but because there's so much more water. Maybe because of the type of sauna it didn't feel different than a regular one, but then again, it could be because it's your first time. Some people don't even sweat their first couple times.

It's good that you're going to take it slowly. It can make you feel bad. I do take one daily now, for a whole hour, but in the beginning that was difficult ... in fact, sometimes even now I can't take the whole hour and have to leave early. I always leave if I get dizzy. I take that as a sign that enough toxins have been disturbed.

Okay, back to reading ...

My body forces me to cry...even when I have no reason for tears. This only happens when my tears are sticky...and its like my body wants to get rid of stuff so I cry....involuntarily.

Afterwards...I feel tons better. So far I've never found another person who experiences this.

I cry often during a herx, and it does make me feel better. I'll cry for the smallest thing. It's strange because I hardly ever cry normally.

Tincup, on Lymenet, had a GREAT description of a herx. I can't find it now, but it's under General Support. HYSTERICAL! Adam accused me of reading it before my last herx because it described it so well.

I can't wear eye makeup no more because it burns my eyes.

I can only wear Origins eye makeup, all other eye makeup causes this. I also have to limit the "colors" ... I only wear cream and brown. Anything with red dye (purple, pink, etc.) seems to really bother me. Wind bothers me A LOT. I can't stand any amount of wind ... my eyes can't stop tearing in wind.

Does anyone have hair loss and dull brittle hair as well and missed periods?
Yes, mine was falling out in handfuls. Thankfully I started out with very thick hair, so now it's just "normal." It seems to be growing back in though, according to my stylist of six years.

I never used chemicals to remove my make-up. Just plain Ivory bar soap and water. I know most people probably do use chemicals though.

I use a glycerine bar from Wild Oats and coconut oil on a Q-tip.

I can't skip the eye makeup ... white skin, very blonde eyelashes ... you can't even see my eyes until there's makeup on them!

I'll have to talk to my doctor about the chlorella. He didn't want me touching the metals yet since I've been doing so badly up till now. Maybe by the time I go up there in May I can start chlorella.

I didn't quite catch up either. Skimmed everything though.

Alison, I agree somewhat with your comments on hair color. I don't let my kids dye their hair until COLLEGE and even then, they have to pay for it!!

I do dye my hair though. It's some variation of my natural color, but I did go platinum last summer. With my fair coloring, it works for me. I have fun with color, and it suits me. I never fight my skin tone.

Jin, I think Alison is right, get closer to your natural shade, not necessarily color though. Maybe have it highlighted and lowlighted -- the highlight a shade or two lighter than your natural color, and the lowlight a shade or two darker. Your mentioned Jennifer Aniston ... her hair is close to her natural color, which is why it works for her. You would get the same effect with the highlights and lowlights. That's what I do, too.

Dear Carla,

The thing is, I absolutely hate my natural color on me. I tried this thing on beautyriot.com and I do not look good with Jennifer's hair! When Friends first started, she actually had sort of an auburn or mahogany colored hair with some blonde highlights.

You know why it works on her? Because she has a beautiful Greek complexion (she is of Greek descent) and a hair stylist, and a make-up artist. Oh yeah, did I mention she is kind of rich? I admire her a lot, but don't know if it would be smart for my features. I have a golden tone to my skin. I hate it when I cannot make up my mind! All I know is, my great-grandmother was not blonde, and I look just like her. I am going to try and put her in my avatar so you can see.

Speaking of tans, do you know if Toma's Tan Perfect is safe? That is the only stuff that ever worked on me. I tried Unsun, I have tried Endless Summer, Neutragena, you name it! They all made me look like I had jungle rot! :( It is the best stuff! I got as dark as my best friend who is bronzed just going out for a stroll! She could not believe it!

Meanwhile, I am glad to hear you have enjoyed being at the spa. Arizona is a nice place. A good friend of mine lives there. She loves it! I would not mind visiting a dude ranch and riding a horse or two.

Sincerely,

NoGluGirl

NoGLuGirl, I'd love to see a photo of you with your hair its natural color. I know you don't like it in its natural state, but I'd be curious to see for myself--and I wonder how the citizens of Rachelville would vote!!

I gotta say, though, considering how sensitive you are and how many difficulties you have, I'm really amazed that you would use so many chemicals on your hair and skin (thought I'm glad you are avoiding peroxide and ammonia). You say that everyone is trying to turn you into someone you are not, but from where I sit, it sure looks like you are doing everything you can to turn yourself into someone you are not! (Sorry, that's really how it looks....)

Who you really are doesn't have to have anything to do with what color your skin and hair are.

I'm sorry it is so difficult for you to live with your parents. Is there any way you can move out and either live with other relatives, or find your own place? Do you have a job, or are you still in school?

In the meantime, can you at least buy your own can opener? They're only a few dollars...

Just a few things from me. On the topic of binging on things you probably shouldn't: I ate a piece of regular cake (i.e. gluten laden) about a month ago. Same thing as Rachel - it was at work. I was like, WTF, and went for it. I was pretty sick afterwards, but I'm pretty sure it was from the sugar.

Then last night, we went to dinner, and I was feeling pretty confident that my intestines were mostly better. I chowed down on corn chips with the salsa and guac. My stomach hurt pretty much right away, then I didn't feel well the rest of the night. Today, I'm having the same symptoms as when I had my unwelcome guests. I'm feeling pretty frustrated, so I'm gonna start POUNDING the kefir! Tomorrow I see Dr. F, so I'll ask him about it too. It feels like one step forward, two steps back!

Jin, I'm including this link about how to use henna and indigo as natural hair dyes. This is what I like to use when I dye my hair. The henna washes out over time, but if you use it with the indigo, it doesn't all wash out. I love messing with different henna recipes.

http://www.hennaforhair.com

That's all the intelligent things my brain will let me say tonight.

Dear Alison,

Actually, I feel the black fits me. Maybe you do not feel it does, but I do. I will try and get a pic with me in my natural hair color. I absolutely hate it, though. I don't know if I could download one or not. The avatar settings are limited, you know. There is the space issue. It cannot exceed a certain amount. Who do you think I am trying to be? I feel like I am just being me.

I am not kidding. My great-grandmother and I look exactly alike. :o If you PM me with your e-mail, I can send it to you. You would not believe it! You are right, that pretty much ruins my chances of denying the relationship with these insane people. A friend of mine said I look like Anne Boleyn, who was married to Henry VIII. My great-grandmother and I do! It figures we would look like someone who was beheaded. :(

Dear Claire,

Thanks for the link. I have it in my favorites. One thing you need to watch with hennas is not using a straightening iron. It will make your hair fall out. My mother's stylist told her that.

Sincerely,

NoGluGirl
