Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Recommended Posts

Another thing I've noticed in the last couple of days...more floaters. I've got one big one that I see all the time--it's always there...looks like one of the pictures Carla linked to a few months ago of spirochetes. In the last day or two I have several more. One is kind of long and squiggly and there are several short squiggly ones. Almost all of them had one end which has a little "ball" shaped thing on it.

Donna, my toes are purple, but I do my fingernails in green once in a while, but not often.

:o on the attack bass! I think I might have tried spear fishing. Oops, I mean I would have found a lovely NEW pond for that fish. I WISH I could wear polish on my fingers. I seem to do okay with it on my toes, but if I polish my fingernails I seem to react. Can't figure that one out, but I just go with it, lol. It almost feels like my fingernails are smoothering and can't breathe, and then I start getting head symptoms.

Thank you for the compliments on my pic. I did not think I looked good at all. I have no make-up on. I hope to get a better pic done soon. That was not my best photo, but it was more current.

I LOVE this new picture!

As far as I know, you are supposed to do the Candida diet for at least a month prior to taking Nystatin or any other antifungal. This minimizes your chances of a herx.

I've heard this too.

DARN IT--I just lost my whole post  Now I have to remember what I wrote....

Jin--I haven't forgotten, I'll PM the pizza crust recipe to you tomorrow ;) BTW, I really like your new picture. B)

I have floaters too

Rachel--I LOVE what you did with your yard! You have a definate knack for it. It looks like something out of HGTV. :D

Happy Mother's Day, Cheryl! :)

"Sisterhood of the Traveling Toxicities" Funniest thing I've heard all day!

Donna, I have those same floaters.

I seldom paint my fingernails, and when I do, the polish is only on for a day or two. It's just too much trouble to keep it looking nice.

We also had an attack bass in that pond ... one day I had my feet dangling in the water when the kids were swimming and this HUGE bass bit my foot! :o The kids wouldn't swim after that. The next day we went out and the bass bit off the end of a blue swim noodle! :o That 24 inch bass now hangs on our wall! Chloe caught it.

:o:blink: So glad Chloe caught that thing.

Unfortunately, all the kids got many ticks when we lived there. I never did ... I avoided the woods because of the poison oak. I had one crawling on me, but it didn't bite.

:o Kinda makes it hard to think about enjoying the woods and such.

I have floaters too

I'll sure feel a lot better if you get lyme testing through Igenex.

Don't you hate it when you lose posts! It never seems as good as the first time it was written. I've done that too. :(

Donna,

I thought I'd clicked reply on your message but........your description of those floaters.

:blink: Ick and Eeewwwwwww :blink::huh::ph34r:

Dear Carla,

I bet I do have Lyme. My parents still do not think that is it. I see my doc next month. I am NOT going to let the dog get groomed and me not go to the doc this time! Personally, I do not think my mother wants to hear how serious this disease it. However, that is tough crap! I am not well, and am determined to get better soon! I do not seem to get floaters, though. That is good.

I think I also have low iron. I worry about being anemic again due to the constant break-through bleeding. I get weaker when I do not eat meat. I usually feel better when I eat beef at least twice a week. That helps. I do tend to feel better when I eat chocolate, which is weird.

Dear Donna,

I was not sure I should have put this one on here, but I decided to put on there anyway. I was not thrilled with the pic, but thought oh well. I really did not think it was a good pic. However, you can see more of my face without my hair in the way. It tends to eat things!

The Candida diet was the first step is what I read. Herxes are very severe. They can be so bad and cause such horrible withdrawal that patients cannot continue treatment. Books on it tend to gravitate toward doing the diet first for at least a month, then they can add to the regimen to kill the yeast. Protocol is usually the same in all of the books.

I am sorry to hear about the floaters. That must be distracting. I get eye boogers as we call them. It is a lot of sleepy, or sandy stuff. It can be painful at times. My eyes are really dry, too. I think I have sticky eye disease. My eyes stick because they are so dried out, and it does not matter how many eye drops I put in!

Dear Patti,

You can send it anytime you are ready! I cannot wait to get the recipe for the crust though! I

am having serious pizza lust right now! I am glad my pic does not look as terrible as I thought. I am planning on major food festivities this week!

Sincerely,

Jin

You are probably low in magnesium then. Chocolate is high in magnesium.

We just found out why the lady across the street is willing to sell us the house for her payoff ... she's being foreclosed on. We decided to not rent it out yet. We'll be tearing out our kitchen this summer, so we'll use that kitchen till ours is done, then we can rent it out. :)

I'm not sure the floaters are an indication of anything specific, but the one I usually have is usually only noticable if I look at something light...in the last couple of days there are a lot more of them and I can see them over more colors. Weird.

I agree Carla, nail polish is too troublesome to keep up, lol. Sure looks pretty, but unfortunately mine is only pretty for a day. My toes last much, much longer...the polish will look good there for at least 3 weeks. They are a much prettier purple today...I picked my outfit for church today just to show off my toenails.

Well, I can't get to the previous page again. I've even tried viewing the thread withouth avatars and signatures, but it still won't load.

Forgot to say (I think) that I love your yard Rachel. The first thing I thought of when I saw it was "wow, that looks like my dad's yard"! That's a great compliment, lol...he was a great gardner and took a lot of pride in his yard. He, however, never made a waterfall. Truly amazing!

Rachel- Your yard looks so cool! You have inspired me but I feel sad for the koi (jumping to his death and all!. I had a jack Dempsey in a tank that got so big I was afriad of him. gave him to the local exotic pet shop and he got his own pond!

Oh gosh no- Angus is NOT an only child. The roost is ruled by Frisca and there is also Simon. They are both tabbies from north of San Francisco (Fairfax actually). Brother and sister, but a year apart. Mom had a little affair going with the handsome kitty down the street. :P When we got Angus, Simon weighed MORE than he did.. Simon was 19 pounds and Angus was 18!!!!!!!!!!! Angus wants to be his best friend. Simon is thinking about it

Actually you reminded me of my friend in SF who rescued 2 three legged kitties from the SFSPCA- Napoleon and Wilbur. They are both missing a hind leg and they are so cute- I guess they are officially called tripods!

Uhm....Donna- unfortunately right now you ARE a mom- to a parasite. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the GOOD news is you can put it up for adoption. I hear they're fetchinga high price in exotic places far far away!

Jin- I like your new pic!

Patti has somehow turned into a lemon meringue pie. Wonder Twin Powers? :P

Dear Carla,

That would make sense. I do not feel as nauseated or tired on days I eat chocolate. Maybe I should go get some Nature Made? I do not take a multi. I probably should. If I am having malabsorption, I do not know if it will help. It is worth a try, though.

Dear Donna,

I am like you, there! I do not bother painting my fingernails, because they are too much upkeep. The polish stays on my toes fairly well. However, due to doing dishes and stuff, it does not stay on my fingers. That is pretty pointless. Speaking of, what nailpolishes are gluten-free? Can you give me some specifics?

Dear Bev,

I am glad you like my new pic! I thought I looked ugly! I hate not wearing make-up! It is like being naked! Your little furry baby is so cute! I always wanted a kitty, but my parents would not let me have one!

Sincerely,

NoGluGirl

I am so needing the "OMG Thread" Cliff Notes.

What happens to increase testosterone?? In my case the hair growth definately ocurrs from increased toxicity....but why??

Huh, that's weird, your story. I've been kinda hairy all my life, so I think it's a genetic thing with me, being Italian and all. Unless we've all been toxic all this time . One of my docs left me a message about testosterone being high for all kinds of reasons. Well, when I find out more, I'll let you know. The birth intuitive I saw suggested I have my mercury levels tested through a blood test. Anyone ever had that done?

I like the landscaping picture. Wow, I'm surprised you had the energy to landscape on disability! I had no energy last summer. I had just enough energy for work, then I'd come home exhausted, but I'd have to make food. When I wasn't at work, I was cooking because I couldn't eat out.

Here is how my day went today: Claire 1, Weeds 29 :P ! Oh geez, it's gonna take me a long time to clean up this yard!

Thanks for the info on the CD57 test. I thought it was about celiac disease because this board changes C D to celiac disease automatically if you don't disguise it.

Jin, I like your new smilie avatar. Much better than the serious pic. You look pretty without the makeup, but I'm the official Rachelville granola girl, and we granola girls do it au natural!

I had lots of other interesting things to say, but they have all gone to the black hole in my head. And I seemed to have lost someelse's quote. Oh well...

Claire

Well.....I replied to a bunch of posts and then lost everything.

I cant go back to certain pages...Donna...WTH??

I'm tired of this computer...I seriously need to get away from dial-up ASAP.

Gonna have to catch up tomorrow.

I finally got a pic of Ceaser up as my personal pic. :)

My avatar is a memorable pic. It was during that period of stess I talked about. I had gone through a major break-up two months prior...was worried about where I was gonna live because at that time we were planning to sell our house. Smoking hecka cigarettes and for the first time felt toxic...and had that crawling sensation on my face and some hair growth..which later fell off.

My trip to Tahoe where I might have been bit and also swallowed a huge chunk of amalgam was two months prior to this pic....the same time as the break-up.

Yeah...I think I was getting toxic. <_<

In this pic I was holding my rabbit BO....since I thought we were moving I was thinking I needed to find home for a few of my pets. My friend from work really wanted BO...so I was outside her house saying good-bye to BO when this pic was taken.

I was on a "date". The same day I said good-bye to BO...I was on my first "official" date with the one who broke my heart 2 1/2 years later. :(

Thats who took this pic...we were on our way to SF to spend the day....I was 29.

Obviously I never moved...I didnt let go of any of my other pets. My friend loved BO alot and I let her keep him....she would bring me pictures of him and let me know how he was doing. :)

Dear Claire,

Thanks for the compliments! Yeah, I looked like Nemesis (the Greek Goddess of vengeance) in that other pic! It is funny, because she is the one in the Hercules cartoon that always wants to smite everybody! Hades is hilarious, too! He is voiced by James Woods.

Dear Rachel,

It is so sad you had to give up your bunny! :( Ours died a couple of years ago. Digger was the sweetest thing! He was a big baby. You could pick him up and flip him over like a human baby. He would actually lay there and go to sleep!

Sincerely,

Jin

Rachel- That was beautiful. We could be the Sisterhood of the Traveling Toxicities :P But we have Charlie too so I'm going to have to think on that one!

I love that.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO EVERYONE!!! (IT'S ME ROBBIN!)

OMG, I can't believe this thread is still going on!! A tribute to sisterhood!!

Hi Robbin, so very nice to see you here.

Happy Mothers day to Andrea, Carla (still dont know how you do it! ), Rhonda, Robbin, Beverly, Patti, Judy, Jin (for taking care of Dart), Susan, Alison and anyone else I might have missed!! :)

Dont know if Laura and Miamia....or Donna have any furry friends.

:)

I find it interesting that most LLMD's seem to be into alternative treatments. Mine is even though he starts with antibiotics. He doesn't do one treatment for everyone ... my friend here who has Lyme and babs is on significantly fewer medications than I am, and different ones at that. There definately is not one treatment that fits all ... it's not like getting rid of strep throat where the same medication will work for everyone.

Truthfully, I don't think someone will get well on antibiotics without the alternative therapies as support.

.......

I used to put a lot of time and effort into youthwork with the church ... it was worthwhile to spend my time on that. I'm bored ... I need to add something back into my life now that I'm not always laying around all day ... what do you think could be done to help with Lyme Disease awareness, treatment, etc. Any ideas? What can we as non-medical people do? What (new or existing) organization could be helpful? What do you think is the biggest need? Think big.

Thinking....

Donna, I have those same floaters.

I was having floaters until I did the salt/c, I haven't had any since then.

Dear Bev,

I am glad you like my new pic! I thought I looked ugly! I hate not wearing make-up! It is like being naked!

Jin, it is a beautiful photo of you.

We took a long drive in the country today, looks like we bought a little house in a very cute town.:lol: There is kitchen, in the town, that can be rented for the next four months and 'rinne bars' will go into production, also a really wonderful space that can be leased to turn into the commercial kitchen I want.

I spent last week doing a business seminar and I have also been exploring setting up a commercial kitchen here. I am seriously unimpressed by how this city does business with small business.

I'm sitting here now wondering just how we are going to do all these things, sell our city house, find an apartment here or a storefront with living accomodations above, renovate our country house, start the business up. The great thing is that it all seems doable.

:( Sorry you had to say good bye to Bo--I hate saying good bye. I am glad you were able to keep tabs on him, though. Sounds like the time that picture was taken was a turning point for you in a lot of ways. Funny that we just never know how a series of events, seemingly unrelated, can have such an effect--actually send us in a whole different direction.....

Rinne--How exciting!!! I'm so happy for you :D

On the subject of nail painting--I only file and buff my fingernails. I like them to look nice and healthy, but it's such a hassle to keep polish from chipping. I always polish my toenails though--my feet look naked with out it  I use Revlon Colorstay--on toes, it lasts and looks shiny until you decide to remove it.

Rachel, that's a very cute picture of you. You, too, Jin.

Rinne, sounds like you must have some energy back! That all sounds very exciting.

Adam bought some Blood Builder yesterday and I took two last night. It's the iron I take ... it also has B12, folic acid, and vitamin C in it. Hopefully, after taking more today, I'll have more energy.

Is it B-O or Bo? Cute picture of you and BO or Bo. :P I am really over dial-up myself, lol. If I didn't have so many stupid medical bills right now, I'd look into something faster. I can't figure out why it's only certain pages that won't load. I tried turning off avatars and signatures thinking it would load faster, but that didn't help. I'm stumped!

Hi, just a quickie here as I am in a busy training week. Maybe you all know this but floaters are common with lyme disease.

Hi Sherry! I had heard that about the floaters but I've been afraid to start thinking that that is what is causing them in me...I am fully expecting all of the tests to show negative for lyme since I don't seem to be producing an immune response to it, so I am trying to be prepared (mentally) for the possibility that the Dr will say I don't have lyme. :P:lol:

Yep, I figure I won't get home until around 1:30 at the earliest tomorrow. My appt. is at 12:00 and it's an hour appointment. Depending on what he says and if I need additional testing etc. But I'll definitely post as soon as I get home. I'm going out to dinner with my friends to celebrate one of their birthday's--I definitely will post before I leave for that, so you all aren't hanging. :P

Yes- Rinne Bars go into production!!!!!!! Whahoo!!!!!!!!!!

It's interesting about the hair growth- I was VERY hairy from a young age and when I went gluten-free I got less hairy (arms etc) I still get the occasional weird hair (gotta love the chin pluck- was watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding yesterday and had to laugh when they were chasing the mom around the house the day of the wedding plucking stray hairs off her face!)

Actually, that whole movie cracks me up- do you remember the aunt and her "bebopsy" (biopsy). Ever since I first watched I always call biopsies "bebopsies". If you haven't seen it, it's a GREAT movie! And John Corbett is VERY gentle on the eyes!

Kurt came home last night after 10 days and I just burst into tears.
