Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Recommended Posts

Um, hallooooooooooo, spent half a summer in Italy in my twenties and had FIVE bowel movements...my record is

NINE DAYS and no poop. Can anyone beat that?

I'm surprised u didn't hire a couple gondoliers to "beat that" outta ya w/ their poles!

But why am I not more surprised that u kept a running total?

No coffee for me. Caffeine irritates my bladder also.

Just as well. Caffeine is a major gut irritant...totally not good for leaky gut or detox.

Coffee is not advised for anyone having leaky gut or going through any kind of detox...especially dealing with something like mercury toxicity. :o

However, coffee enema is completely different and is extremely beneficial for detox as it stimulates the liver to release toxins. You do not get these results from drinking coffee and the caffeine will worsen a leaky gut problem.....highly irriating to the intestinal lining.

So while my deft maneuver (D'oh!) illuminated the depth of solidarity in Rachelville,

......

Is it possible or impossible for a random unknown celiac (Celiac X perhaps?) to go gluten-free, discover that he/she has candida overgrowth, take the usual anti-candida measures, and in time become healthy again?

Oh and Laura - Congrats again! I think I haven't been here long enough to appreciate the significance at first.

I'm impressed by your grasp of the situation. :)

As to your question, I think there are a number of variables at play, one being whether or not that person has a history of using antibiotics but basically I think yes. I think our bodies, given the right conditions, will return to a healthy balance and that our natural state is wellness.

Jin, I love our new expression "scatalogical terror".

Dear Rinne,

.....

After that, every doctor I saw was automatically convinced I was crazy, just because they read what she wrote. Many of thems already had their minds made up when the walked in the room. The misery it has caused me is difficult to describe.

There is a hatred for these people deep inside of me. No one should have to go through the Hell I experienced.

.....

I understand rage, I spent much of my life feeling poisoned and as it turns out I was. :(

I think of my father's behavior and I wonder about his rages and whether or not he was poisoned also. It seem the misery is passed from generation to generation.

As true Amazons we must end misery and embrace joyfulness. :)

Miamia it is good to hear you are feeling energetic and optimistic. :)

Maybe carla should be temperance spice- because she has such good self restraint

OMG- I love Tenacious Spice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

......

So much has said about what a family we've become and I feel that way too. It was funny, last night I was thinking if I won a million dollars, what would I do? I decided that I would take all of us on a luxurious spa vacation where we could swim with dolphins, bask in the sun, we could eat rinne bars all day, get massages, eat like pigs, swim in the warm sea and finally meet in person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah- and drink good cocktails!

...

Yes to both. :)

.....

I asked my mom...she said "I just want you to be Better Spice".

....

:) What a great mom, hi Cheryl.

....

I want to meet a doctor face to face to hear their own experience and what they did. Isn't it funny how that lady was standing next to me and my mom while I was looking for oil of oregano and she overheard me telling to sales associate I had mercury toxicity from my teeth?

I am so glad you are here to share your story, very scary, and I am so glad that your family is coming through for you. Rachel said everything so well I have nothing to add just be good to yourself. :)

Omg this cracked me up and brought back some memories.

An old girlfriend (2 actually, but 1 much more drastically) would have a sudden desire to get ..ahem.. 'romantic' during a game - and somehow in proportion to how big the game was.

It went so far that if the big game was the late game, I'd feign massive interest in whatever the early game was. lmao

Ahhhh the memories!

:lol::lol::lol:

.....

I miss Cecile too. I tried calling down to her place a couple weeks ago.....got no answer. I'll have to try again after I get my phone card recharged.

I miss Cecile too.

I was wondering about Evie, does anyone know how she is doing?

My home looks like it has been ransacked, everything that was stored in what was basically a walk in closet is now in our living room because the closet has become my office. I like my little office, I don't want to leave it.

Mia,

I'd taken notes from another thread.

For C, some liked Miralax and tarnalberry said magnesium helps.

I went longer than 9 days w/out a bm.

OMG...it was heinous...I was soooo toxic. :(

Some of you may recall it happened after I ate one full block of swiss cheese.

I get constipated from moldy foods..(didnt know this at the time)....and OMG that cheese really did me in.

I couldnt even get cleaned out for my colonoscopy it was so bad. I cried and cried....total paranoid drama queen that night. Finally an enema did the trick and I had my colonoscopy the next day.

Never never will I allow myself to get like that again.

Your new office sounds like a nice place to hide.

 Well, Venice wasn't until the very end.

Nine days without a poop, and FIVE ENTIRE DAYS (1992) without sleep.....that is over 120 hours, without sleep....I beat Al Pacino in "Insomnia," and HE did not have to show up to teach a second/third grade combo after his FOUR days without sleep.......(and the night I finally slept, it was but a mere three hours)......a truly heinous and sad time in my life.......how did I recover from that? and WHY?????? It took so much out of me.

Jin, I love our new expression "scatalogical terror".

 isn't Jin a treasure?

Oh yeah! Swiss Cheese Incident!! I think they play The Catalyst next month!

Hehehee j/k

And maybe this provides an opening for what's been befuddling me. Is "to rachel" something just to scarf a lot of whatever - or does the whatever have to be something u know u shouldn't eat?

That's right. Whether it's food, treatment (as in upping meds/supps too quickly), sauna's etc.

Tom,

Details on the avatar please......

Well I was surprised I could put *anything* up, first of all. I've been doing all my surfing on a phone.

Had this shot on it to use as wallpaper.

It's Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur, CA. (Not to be confused w/ Julia Pfeiffer-Burns State Park). I'm pretty sure that famous Liz Taylor love scene on the beach was filmed there. Wish I was sure of the movie name - maybe From Here to Eternity?

Hmmm....I've never heard of these guys.

Are they any good??

Hopefully alot more enjoyable than my last Swiss Cheese Incident.

Its basically overkill....to rachel something means to go WAY overboard. It doesnt have to be something "forbidden" or unhealthy. I've racheled many things that are beneficial....such as the sauna...which I did for 30 minutes.

Apparantly this was overkill...Dr. said I should have only been in there 5 minutes. I did not know this until after the fact...and only after I threw up 3 x due to racheling my time in the sauna.

I got overly excited when I first started treatment for removing mercury....I was only suppossed to take 1 tiny drop of this stuff but my mind was saying "more is better"....so I ended up taking a few drops more. I ended up very sick from trying to move more toxins than my body could deal with at that time. I racheled the treatment.

and then there is the ice cream.... :P

Jin....I cant believe you remembered how I got to be Candy Spice!! :o

Either you've got a great memory or I've got some serious brainfog because I had forgotten the whole thing!

Yeah...it was because of me getting stuck with that stupid candy/spice section....yet again.

I'm entirely in favor of daily bm(s), but in my experience, talking to most doctors about it is useless cuz the medical definition of C is none for 3 days!

I used to feel soooooo crappy by day 3. I'm sure many of u can relate. And w/ leaky gut, the crappy is entirely literal.

[blecch warning]

Fecal matter gets in the bloodstream and to the brain and each day I'd feel crappier & crappier. [/blecch warning]

One of the reasons I think my leaky guy has mostly healed is that I DON'T get that crappy feeling from a day or 2 w/ no bm.

(now *why* was I writing this?)

Oh ya! - hope your doc understands!

And if u can tolerate coffee [where it belongs (!), in a cup, raised to lips], it can stimulate peristaltic(sp?) contractions to help get things goin.

Tom-

this makes alot of sense to me I used to not go for a day a two and it woulden't kill me- I hated it- but I didn't really feel it. Now if i don't go for one day I am in agony!!!

I still love Celia's spinach story!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was the worst date last night. Made dinner, ate it and went to bed at 8:15. I wake up at 1 am to go to the bathroom and poor hubby is up watching Hysteria: The Def Leppard story all by himself   :( I watched a bit with him....quite interesting.

Sorry about your date night......it'll get better soon. :)

Rachel,

Can't wait to hear about your appointment which you should be close to starting. I assume they'll be ontime since you're the first today.

Laura,

Dear Rinne,

That cluttered house sounds like ours! You cannot find the floor in most of our house! I hate everything being all over the place. How hard is it to just put things back? My parents are worse than toddlers!

Your office sounds nice. It must be quite cozy! I wish I had my own place with an office. That would help a lot! My parents and I got into yet another argument this morning about the gluten. Here we go again! I HATE THESE PEOPLE!

I am glad you get to have a celebration today! Your mother is turning 70 you said. Are you guys having a surprise party or anything? My grandfather had one. It was a lot of fun!

I was hoping you guys would like the term scatalogical terror! It just came to mind. That seems to be a great way to describe a glutening. In my case, it usually involves both ends being irritated. I feel like I will never get well with two complete idiots for parents who are self-centered! It is difficult to overcome the harsh feelings for them and the doctors that betrayed my trust.

I do not know if I would make it as an Amazon. They were all known to be legendarily blonde. I look terrible as a blonde! Do you think that any of them were raven-haired beauties? One can hope.

Dear Susie,

Thank you for the compliments! :) The scatalogical terror was something I think we all know way more about than we would like. Celiac is like that. My experience has not been pleasant with it. The stomach is a mysterious thing at times.

I cannot participate in the sports hexes. Wiccans are not allowed to do anything that could harm someone in any way!

That is totally out! It has to do with the Three Fold Law. Whatever we send out comes back to us threefold. Whether it is good or bad, it will come back eventually! I do not want to take chances!

It was unbelievable about your ex! Who you should feel sorry for is his fiance! That woman has no idea how big of a jerk he really is! Maybe she will find out before the wedding. We can hope! Your comment about being naked and on fire with him not noticing was so funny! ROTFL!

Be careful with those mojitos! They can have bad effects on people who have Lyme. You could have it. Its effect is amplified by the disease. I am not sure why. There is plenty of scientificness behind it that I am sure Rachel and Carla could explain, though.

Dear Rachel,

Thank you for posting the craziness from last summer! It was fun reading about everything! I cannot wait to read more! Everything is so hilarious! Don't forget to post about the Purple Glittery Bats! :P

Your Spice Girl names could be combined. I thought Donna's suggestion was great! You could rachel your Spice Girl names! It comes naturally, you know! If Floridian was here, she would have to be Spinached Spice!

I cannot wait to hear about your appointment with Dr. Amy! We are all so excited! Every single one of us is hanging onto the edge of our seats! I hope it was not too hard on you going off of your supplements temporarily. I know that can have a negative effect on people.

A lot of people tell me I have an incredible memory! I am happy I remembered how you became Candy Spice, too! God, I hope I never lose it! Since my grandmother developed Alzheimer's, I am even grateful for bad memories, like nearly being raped, or the horrid I.U. Med experience. Maybe that was the point. God wanted me to see what it would be like not to remember anything, including bad memories. That is the worse disease. I am so terrified of Alzheimer's.

Dear Lisa,

OMG! Thank goodness you are alright. It is so strange that bloodwork came back fine, though. You would think something would show up with you being so ill. I had instances like that as well.

I had a very violent drug reaction to Zoloft and Reglan before I went up to I.U. Med. It got to the point I was terrified.

I was so weak I nearly fainted in the shower twice. I think it was my blood sugar. Anyway, my mother actually had to walk behind me in case I blacked out while at the doctor's office. I shook all the time, too.

I do not think I had ever been so frightened in my entire life. When you get like that, it is so scary. My parents actually were afraid I was going to die. So was I. Sometimes I still am. Now they just seem convinced I am crazy, and could not care less one way or another.

It is wonderful news at least your parents are finally getting it. God, it takes people so long! I am tired of my idiotic relatives. They do not even make the effort to understand. They yell at me because they choose to be ignorant. I am so tired of getting into fights! All I have ever wanted is to just be understood. Why is that so much to ask? If it had not been for meeting you guys and others, I would not have started on my path to wellness either! God put you in that woman's path at the store, just like he led me to switch doctors and join this thread!

Dear Andrea,

Mitch's Twilight Zone post was perfect! I love it! He is hilarious! That applies very well here, too! I think we could adopt that in our town very quickly!

As far as your Candida question is concerned, one day may begin withdrawal for some individuals. It varies from person to person. The severity of the case has a lot to do with it. I began having problems the first time I tried it. My blood sugar is always dropping, though. However, do not go so long without eating. It is very bad for you!

Thank you for posting the Ten Commandments of Rachelville! All in favor say aye! :) I am definitely in favor of them!

These statements make a perfect snapshot and explanation of my feelings. People always assume things, and that is always bad.

Dear Carla,

Let me get this straight! You got to have popcorn, ice cream, and see George all in one day? :o Oh, that sounds so heavenly! George is so hot! Shrek was probably a lot of fun, too!

I am trying to come up with an exciting but fitting Spice name for you. Let me see. How about Demeter Spice? Demeter is the Earth Goddess in old Greek Mythology. It is very pretty. I believe she was also the Goddess of fertility.

The Lyme Stats for our county were a surprise. My cousin had it back about ten years or so ago. She developed symptoms right away. We have a large deer population, though. I too, am curious about how our region compares to the Northeast. I think I will go do some more research and get back to you.

The classics are something I wish I had more time for. Right now, I do not get the chance to read anything but school textbooks. I do advanced pace college work. We have a new quarter every ten weeks! Kaplan has a very fast-paced curriculum. Don't worry, you will be back to reading the good stuff in no time! ;)

Dear Bev,

Scatalogical terror is so fun to say and type! Maybe it cannot compare to Shakespeare's prose, but still, it is fun to use. I am sorry to hear you are still in pain and tired. The antibiotics tend to make me sleepy as well. They are tough on your system.

This might be good, though. It could be a herx. That means the meds are working! You are killing bugs! :) Feeling better afterwards is commonplace.

So, did you and your hubby have a fun date? Or did you snooze on him? The game sounded fun! Scrabble with profanity! Now that is my kind of game!

Dear Donna,

Yay on the completion of treatment! Now what do you do? How often do you go back for maintaining the treatment?

This is such great news! We are all so happy and proud for you!

The Spice Girl name you suggested for Rachel was great! It is a perfect combination of the two! I do not think I could have come up with that one! Carla still would like another one. I am trying to come up with one for her.

Your slippers sound so cute! It is always good to have a number of pairs! You never know when you may need more! I bet they are so comfy, too! I would not mind a pair of those! You know what that means, though. Now you need to go buy more nail polish! :D

Dear tom,

The bball is not something all females are totally in the dark about. I do not watch sports, though. I love to play. My brother and I used to play. Sometimes Mom would play with us, too.

Although I used to play football with the neighbors, I have not played in a long time. I hate it when people cheat, though! You know, when they knock your knees? That is so wrong! One of the boys we played with always did that! My team is by far the GreenBay Packers! Favre! The Colts are a close second! Peyton Manning is not only a great player, but a good guy! That story about your ex getting amorous at the game is so hilarious!

I love the word rhizoids! We are going to have to use that more often now! You are right, it does sound like something from outerspace! The two things that come to mind when I hear it are hemorrhoids, or a strange robot.

I think you are referring to those appendages that grow out of the yeast once it is in its mycelial form, correct? They used another term for them in some of the books I read. Either way, it means that it is in its fungal form, and is difficult to kill. Those talons they use to create tears into the intestine end up causing the Leaky-Gut. I do believe that Candida can activate Celiac.

In fact, I read in my research gluten if often a major sensitivity for Candida patients, so it is often encouraged to avoid it during the Candida Diet. Some people can go back to eating it later, but that would not include Celiacs. Only gluten sensitive individuals (who do not have the Celiac or gluten sensitivity genes) would probably be able to do this. People often should be more careful when there is a genetic component involved. Rachel is lucky enough to not have those genes.

Dear Charlie,

I am glad you have gotten to play ball lately. It is probably nice to get back in the game! I am athletic as well. Being sidelined is tough for me. Maybe you will get to be in that winter league this year!

My cousin used to play on three leagues at once! I have no idea how he did that with a job, too. He managed, though.

Now he is a plumber and owns his own business. They have to serve an apprenticeship for five years prior to becoming a plumber.

I am glad you are finally doing better on the meds. It is a huge adjustment for the body. The die-off is the toughest to deal with at first, I would expect. Fatigue especially is common with it. Thank goodness it passes eventually!

Dear Judy,

Howdy! We have all been hoping to hear from you! I know you have been having a hard time lately. A number of us have. It is good that we have each other! That eases the pain a lot!

Dear Mia,

Those appointments sound so exciting! This new doctor is so interesting! What all did you guys talk about? Is there an exact treatment plan? Or is he playing it by ear? Either way, getting to try it out is awesome!

Dear Patti,

How is your rash doing? Is it getting better yet? We have not heard much from you about that lately. The reaction needs monitored. Those can become serious.

Dear Laura,

I will be curious about what you post next. I am willing to be patient. Whenever you feel like it, post what you can!

We will be here! I also hope your IV goes smoothly.

Sincerely,

Jin

P.S. I found out what happened to Alison. All her posts keep getting deleted! Our dear friend has been ousted! I cannot say why here, though. If you e-mail me, I can tell you why. My personal e-mail is in my profile.
