Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Recommended Posts

Dear Rachel,

I would not mind hearing more about Officer Cutie Pie, either! ;) He sounds nice! Most of the officers here have had a few too many free doughnuts. The younger guys are on a power trip. I am more of a UPS man type! Oh, those men in uniform!

I am sure your LED appointment went well. I am glad you are doing it. Not having your mother around to help could make it a bit more difficult to manage than usual. However, you are strong! You can make it!

Figs are something I have not had a chance to get some of lately. I have never had a plain one. The only time I got the chance to eat them was in a Fig Newton before going gluten-free. Thank you for the fig information! I had no idea there were white figs!

Beethoven may very well have had mercury poisoning. If lead is worsened by it, that would explain the high levels in his system of it. Mercury does not typically show in hair samples, particularly when it is not being excreted. He might not have been able to detox. Incidentally, he was born on my birthday, December 16th! I am like you, I wondered where the people who bought locks of his hair kept them!

Kaiser is a complete idiot. I hate those types of doctors! They make mistakes that cannot be fixed easily if at all. Maybe my friend Dollface could take care of him for you. ;) I can create a character like him, and then have him bumped off by one of my girls.

Yeah, where the heck is Patti? OMG! She has disappeared too? What are we going to do? Susie and Bev were gone first. Now Patti! We need to do something!

Dear Donna,

I have not had the chance to play with jewels yet. I am working on designing some stencils for nails. I think they would be awesome! Those worms probably do like your toes! Your comment about them shopping at Saks makes me laugh, thinking of them carrying little shopping bags, batting their lashes!

I know I read something about chrystal and energy. I am going to have to go back and find the site. It may be in my favorites. I need to do more in-depth searching to find exactly what I need. There is bound to be some way to help you!

Dear tom,

T.O.E. sounds like a fun group! I could join that crowd! We would have such a blast! Talking and painting our nails, and becoming bejeweled! Donna can be our founder!

How did the Celiac meeting go? Did you have fun? It was not depressing or anything I hope. Some of those groups are. Some people say the meetings are downers. I have not gone to any locally, but maybe I should seek a group.

Dear Julie,

I have a small trampoline I could rebound on. I need to clear some space to put it. The basement is loaded with things.

I can always fold it back up after I use it. I used to do aerobics on it all the time. Maybe that is why I did not get as sick until later after I stopped working out regularly. My lymph system was probably in better shape then.

The Spice Names began a while back. Everyone has a unique name that fits them. Donna is Smiley Spice, I am Slayer Spice, Laura is Happy Spice, Patti is Angel Spice, Bev is Machine Gun Spice, Rachel is Candida Spice, Andrea is Mother Spice, Lisa (Tabasco) is Freddy Mercury Spice, Mia is Sweet Spice, and Carla is Temperance Spice. Some of us have more than one name. I am not sure we gave Susie a title. I do not think we could decide on one. Our buddy tom has to monitor Contrarian Spice, a bad little troublemaker who argues with people! Watch out for him!

Sunshine is good for you. I feel better on sunny days, too. Damp days make me very sick. They Candida acts up more on those days. Sometimes, the misery is nearly unbearable. If it is just humid it can make my arthritis worse.

Dear Carla,

I am so glad you finally got some sleep! Maybe you will get one of those weird eating disorders and gain a bit of weight. Many people have difficulty losing weight. Those are pretty high calorie items you have been eating. I try to be careful with the fat mostly, due to the gallbladder removal.

Sunshine helps me, too. I feel better when I have had about fifteen minutes worth a day. It helps me kind of meditate.

Vitamin D probably is good for me as well. I tend to be depressed when it is cloudy, so it is important to my mood as well.

That is neat that your family has been into natural stuff for so long. My family is so not into healthfood. I cannot be blood related to these people! They are terrified of organic stuff. Everyone is like "OMG! No! I cannot eat that, I won't get my daily dose of MSG, preservatives, and other artery clogging cholesterols!"

Thank you for the information on the antibiotics. I do not know if I would tolerate the Plaquenil. My system does not like drugs in general. There are so few of any kind I can take. The Lyme and Babs are likely the culprit with the sleep issues.

Since I was about 17, the trouble was up and down, where sometimes I would get no sleep at all before going to school. I do not know how I functioned that way now.

Dear Claire,

I am so glad you are enjoying your spiritual retreat! It sure sounds wonderful! With all of the stress at work, you probably needed the rest. Sometimes, you have to recharge your batteries mentally and physically. The LED next week should help you a lot! Mercury needs wiped out! Also, that was so sweet of your hubby to get you a cake you could eat!

Dear Andrea,

Are the children having another treatment this week? Or did they already have it? I was not sure when they were due again to go to the clinic. You said something about maybe not being able to go right now because of Mitch's work. How are they doing right now?

Susie has disappeared. I know she was on the Tickle Me Thread. I do not know why she is not on here. I miss her! We need to send a search party and bring her back! Our Dingo Girl is important to the community!

Dear Laura,

How are you? I was wondering where you have been! I know you are normally quite busy. I do not know how you do it! There are days I barely have the energy to do dishes.

Dear Lisa,

We are so happy to hear from you! We were very worried! I am sorry you are having a hard time. Do you suppose maybe you are addicted to avacados? You are often addicted to stuff that makes you ill. I know peanut butter is bad for me, but I had a terrible time stopping eating it.

I hope the chelator does not hurt you. I know you are probably scared. Uncharted territory is frightening. This is especially so when your system is so frail. I have been there too, and often still worry about new things. Having a sensitive system is problematic, because any little thing might set off your misery.

Hairspray does not set well with me, either. My mother uses it. I have to get out of the room when she sprays it. Some of them do have gluten. Suave and Dove are two good brands that clearly label gluten if present. Many of their items are safe.

I can see your doctor's concern. All of that metal just makes everything worse. I just wish there was a better approach than this. Your body is needing support. Emotional support also is important, and when you do not get understanding from others, that makes it more difficult to be physically strong.

Dear Everyone,

Well, today was interesting. We have a little guest. Not one you would expect. He came last week as well. A lizard has managed to get in the house.

Mom is freaked. I am not worried. I am sure he is harmless. In fact, he is the one I help Dad chase out last week! I suppose he got tired of this heat as well!

In other news, my brother and cousin are both sick. My cousin is bleeding, and they are not sure if he has an ulcer or what. He also lost his gallbladder young. I think he has Celiac. I suggested it to my aunt.

My brother got dehydrated from having bad D. The doctor he saw gave him something to excuse him from work for three days. His employer was less than understanding, so the doctor gave him the excuse so he would not lose his job. I bet he would be fine if he would just go gluten-free! What are the chances that they both are Celiac considering I am? Probably pretty high!

Sincerely,

Jin

Are the children having another treatment this week? Or did they already have it? I was not sure when they were due again to go to the clinic.

We go Monday for T and S. T will have a group that includes plastics (MEK) done and S will be having the 245T and BXT. Then Friday T has Fungal, M has Halo and S has Gold/Halo.

Then we have three appointments the last week of August. 2 of those will be foods and one for S before those will be for Polio.

Then we have our next ART/ASYRA on the 5th to see what else crops up......hopefully not much. <_< We'll be close to out of money buy then. I'm hoping to have enough left to do a few more LED's though.

I've been thinking about this mold thing. With S testing for penicillium, I'm assuming that's coming from the house as he's never lived anywhere else. I realize it could come from foods as well but that seems less likely in my mind. T tested for aspergillus. I'm really hoping the landlord will be willing to look above the ceiling in the MBath. If we have to find a different place to live that could have a big impact on what we are able to do with treatments. We have good landlords and an affordable rent right now, in a decent area (aside from too much traffic).

I have a kind of random question. I am going for skin testing in a week or two. If we find out I have a mold allergy, and it is in our building...what do we do? Can I take something for it. We don't know if we can really move since we have wayyyy too many hospital and other medical bills. Any ideas?

Sorry for interrupting the flow of conversation. ;)

Dear Andrea,

You guys have a busy day coming up! :o All of those things must be taken care of! There sure are a lot of things needing covered. LED seems very helpful for so much at once. It probably is less expensive in the long-run, because you do not have to do all kinds of other things trying to fix the trouble.

I sure hope you have money for more treatments as well. Maybe something good will come suddenly. These treatments certainly are important. Also, they are needed. I will be anxious to hear about the ASYRA results when the testing is done. Keep me posted!

I am happy to hear you have good landlords. My brother has not been so fortunate in most of the places he lived at. This new place seems good, though. Hopefully, if there is mold, it can be destroyed. Bleach is the best thing. I know we probably have it all over the place, but my parents naturally think I am just paranoid. I am scared, because I know someone who lost a kidney from exposure at her workplace. The molds that she was exposed to were penicillium and aspergillus.

Dear Kassandra,

Well, if you live in an apartment, you have rights as a tenant. One of them is a sanitary living space. If you identify toxic mold, reporting it is essential. The landlord must know. Refusal to do nothing gives you legal grounds to sue. Many celebrities have had to do so, including Ed McMahon and Lou Ferrigno. Also, keep in mind even people who do not have allergies to mold get sick from toxic mold.

Sincerely,

Jin

You're not interrupting! There is no rhyme or reason to what we talk about on here.

I'm in pretty much the same boat as you.....can't afford to move. I know Jin has already answered you.

Jin, I just read recently that bleach wasn't good to use on mold, it's not strong enough to kill the mold.

Speaking of boos, isn't it about time to start booing for the Fresno Bulldogs?? Susie Q?

well halloooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! Julie!! we don't have to Boo the Bulldogs any more. Robert got MARRIED :o about two weeks ago, I have just heard. Susie is TOTALLY over it. We don't waste our energy any more on booing the 'dogs. But, it certainly would be MOST fabulous if they had another HEINOUS season. ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!

I think she's over the boos for the bulldogs.

yup.

A quick hello from the Monterey Peninsula! The Asilomar State Beach is fantastic. The weather has been amazing this year. We are actually getting sun for a change. Remember the famous saying from Mark Twain, the coldest winter I spent was the summer in San Francisco? We've been really enjoying the sunshine! I haven't seen as many sea otters as I would like. All you Bay Area/Central Californians should really check this place out sometime.

Claire - - it is SUCH a beautiful beach and a beautiful place to stay. Our preferred beach was Carmel Beach - at the end of Ocean Ave., a dogs' paradise.....but at least once a month we romped on the rocks at Asilomar. Lucky you!

Susie has disappeared. I know she was on the Tickle Me Thread. I do not know why she is not on here. I miss her! We need to send a search party and bring her back! Our Dingo Girl is important to the community!

No, no! not disappeared!!!! just.....lurking here and there.

susie kind of has a.......boyfriend!!!! :o:wub: and is spending time in real life. Not much time to read or post.....darling Jin, I look to YOU to catch me up on things in your fab recaps!!!

and.....a lizard?????? It will be okay. they're harmless but just a little - disquieting.

Kassandra! finally a picture! you are adorable. I think we need to discuss some back issues.....I will write to you soon.

mold in the buildings - ugh. I have hard that rubbing alcohol is the only thing that takes it off walls and such...... ??????

nighty-night, all. Still very far behind.

but not SO far behind that I don't want to hear about Rachel's hottie.

WOW! Isn't THAT a bit a good news!!

I mean, of course, that the lizard is only disquieting. Oops no I mean the 'no more wasting energy' booing FSU. Ahhh it's the reminiscing of time spent where Ocean Ave ends!! (Is that where the Carmel River hits the ocean? I loved that beach for a sunset)

:) yeah yeah it's all about Bachelorette #3.

Susie has a boyfriend! :)

oh my god there is so much to comments on-

Rachel-

thanks for all th info on the parasites and metals I copied over alot of it ( then i send it to my mom so ssomeone without brainfog can read it)

Yeah on the figs doing the trick. Can i ask are you eating dried figs or fresh figs?Which kind?

Good luck with your appointment i cannot wait to hear how it goes.

AT my physical therpaist they have a chi machine they use sometimes I wonder if its worht investing in one for home .

Julie-

I am taking your advice i had a colonics scheduled for the day after my chelation this week and i changed it to do both in the same day i am going to seee if it makes a difference. I really hope so . And yes i am very good about eating eithre right before or during the chelation.

Did you say you had a chi machine? DO you find its helpful. I am debating about either getting that or a mini tramp- which do you think would be better?

I am also taking black walnut I am not on wormwood though and i know they work very well together .When i first started the blask walnut my dic and i wanted to see if i could handle it so we did not want to try more than one thing at atime but maybe know it would be worth adding the wormwood.

Jin-

I can't remember were you tested for lyme? Do you definityl have it?

Susie-

so good to see you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so I am still haveing a rough time that is why i ahve not been posting I have been trying to read along but keep falling behind i think i finally caught up now though. Donna i feel you on the sleep problems i have definitly had alot of problems I can fall asleep but staying asleep has been really hard. I talked to my doctor we made a plan for this week. Tuesday i am going to go in for an iv of just saline solution we are hoping this will hydrate me and my colon plus it should bring up my blood presssure which is really low. Then on wednsday i am going to have chlelation and we are hoping the hydration from the day before will be helpful in my ability to handle the chealation. Plus we both agree the sooner i can get a colonics after the better i originally told him i made an appt. for the day after but as i mentioned earlier i switched it to the same day so i think he will be very happy with me.

Tomorrow istart his new homeopathic remedy for the bathroom and the whole colon I will post about them later there are three different things i have already been on one which gets your body ready for the other two.

Monday i ahve my ohysical therapy which as of now i am looking forward to becasue my body feels really beat up right now. So it will be a busy week with alot of appointments but hopefully it will be a week that gets me going in the right direction and helps me to break out of the funk my body has decided to go into. I have really been uncomfortable alll the time. Every food i eat even my safe ones seem to be giving me a reaction i want to have other stuff but i am scared becasue i really can't handle another bad reaction right now. So frustrating.

Ok I guess thats all for now

susie kind of has a.......boyfriend!!!! :o:wub:

Tell us more. :)

I slept till 5:30 this morning ... I wasn't happy about waking up that early, but it's a significant improvement over before.

Mia, I'm glad things are progressing ... I felt a lot worse before I felt better ... hopefully, you'll see some results soon.

Sorry I can't participate in the mold conversation ... I don't know anything about it. I know I have mold problems in our bathroom ... we're having our kitchen ripped out in October ... the bathroom is next ... hopefully there will be money left over for it after buying the building and doing our kitchen! It's shower mold ... I spray harsh chemicals on it and it kills it for a while. Another place for mold -- the hair that gets clogged in the shower drain! It's always so revolting when Adam cleans that out.

Did I mention that my doc increased my amoxy? By 2 grams per day!!! :o It was because of my peak level blood test ... apparently not enough of it in my blood. I only started taking half that yesterday ... I'm wiped out today. I thought I'd ramp it up since my herx is due next week ... I thought I'd wait till the "feel good" days were over to feel bad from taking more ... I may as well start taking the full 2 grams, I'm wiped out anyway. :)

Fortunately, these Lyme herxes are nothing compared to the babs herxes. I'm tired, but comfortable! B) I could be functional if there was anything I had to do, but today, there is nothing ... so I'm just resting.

Well today I had what was quite possibly one of the best massages I have ever had. This girl was good. I was scheduled with the girl I usually see, but they called me Thursday evening to say that she has decided to not come back (she's going to pursue opthamology...what a change, lol). Anyway, the girl I had today was the one who did the hot stone massage last month for me. Today she did a deep tissue massage, and she is right up there with my PT guy. He knows my body pretty well because I saw him 3 times a week for quite a while for my physical therapy...this girl was just about as good, and this ws the first time she's done deep tissue on me. So right now Donna has some pretty good range of motion without pain in her neck. :P

Came home after that and had myself a nice epsom salt bath soak.

Claire (our favorite little granola, lol), sounds like your retreat is going very well.

I have not had the chance to play with jewels yet. I am working on designing some stencils for nails.

I finally found some striping tape, so now I can make straight lines...can't draw those to save my life, lol.

Hey, watch out...some of those lizards can be little terrors, lol.

I have a kind of random question. I am going for skin testing in a week or two. If we find out I have a mold allergy, and it is in our building...what do we do? Can I take something for it. We don't know if we can really move since we have wayyyy too many hospital and other medical bills. Any ideas?

Well, I know that I wasn't given much instruction when I tested positive (by skin scratch) in 2002. My doctor basically just told me to avoid certain fruits, fermented foods/drinks, fungi (like mushrooms), cheese, etc. Basically he put me on an anti-candida diet. He said virtually nothing about my environment. He put me on allergy shots, which contain the stuff I'm allergic too. He retired and I'm seeing the allergist who took over his practice, but they also didn't say anything about environment.

It was my lyme doctor who tested me for mold toxicity and found that I have it. This was via blood test, not skin test. He would like me to move, but I own my condo and just can't afford to move. The next best thing he wants me to do is get rid of my carpet which is very old. I really can't afford to do that either, but at least that would be cheaper than moving, lol. The other thing he said to do is get rid of curtains and dust catchers.

Course, all that can't be done if you're renting. One of my other doctors asked if my lyme doctor had put me on "x" (sorry can't remember the name) for the mold toxicity. He hadn't, but apparently there IS something they can give you for it. I'll have to ask again when I see this other doctor. I didn't ask any questions about it, so don't know in what instances it would be given...I suspect if my lyme doctor didn't mention it, he thinks I can't handle it right now.

susie kind of has a.......boyfriend!!!! :o:wub: and is spending time in real life. Not much time to read or post.....darling Jin, I look to YOU to catch me up on things in your fab recaps!!!

No, no NO!!! You canNOT leave us hanging. What is up with you and Rachel dropping these little teasers and then running away. Harumph!!!

Did you say you had a chi machine? DO you find its helpful. I am debating about either getting that or a mini tramp- which do you think would be better?

Hope your new remedy helps you!!! Re the chi machine vs the rebounder...I don't know much about the chi machine, but I would think that as bad as you feel most of the time, the chi machine might be better....like Rachel said the other day...all you have to do is lay there, lol, so you can use it even if you're feeling really crummy. I know that when I'm feeling really bad, it's really hard to get on the rebounder, and if I manage to do so, I can't stay on long.

I slept till 5:30 this morning ... I wasn't happy about waking up that early, but it's a significant improvement over before.

Hum, I slept okay again, but woke up at 4:00! Stupid early morning hours, lol!

Did I mention that my doc increased my amoxy? By 2 grams per day!!!

WOW!!! That's a lot. I know at the end of the 3 year cycle of sinus infections I was taking 4 grams of augmenton each day...didn't help the "sinus infections" but I'm thinking maybe that did SOMETHING to the lyme, lol.

Amoxy did give me trouble before. When I started it, I just jumped right in. I decided to start with a lower dose and ramp up. Each time I added some, I got sick again.

Then I switched to Cipro for the GI problems, and herxed on the Cipro. When I switched back, I had a little trouble ... I have a little herxing every time we switch something. So, I expected this ... but not yet. I just started taking a little more yesterday and didn't think it would make a difference. When it did, I just started taking the full dose today ... I'd rather get this over with all at once!

I'm taking 7.5 grams! :o It's the right dose ... they did the blood test to see how much was there.

Donna, I'm sure that augmentin helped with the Lyme. :)

DH and I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium yesterday. The best part about it was the sea otters. They are soooo cute!! I could have watched them all day long. They look a lot bigger when you are next to them versus looking at them in the ocean.

There was some interesting information about seafood there too, and which seafood is the best to eat for both environmental and health reasons. I wanted to include this link that describes which fish have environmental contaminants and how much you can eat of them in a month.

http://www.oceansalive.org/eat.cfm?subnav=healthalerts

I think this is one of the best guides I've seen on which fish are contaminated with mercury and PCBs.

Donna, happiness is a good massage therapist :) . On the birthday card DH gave me, he said "this is good for one dinner and one message". I knew he meant massage, so I thought it was hysterically funny  ! He didn't realize the spelling was different  .

Rachel, can't wait to hear about your LED treatment.

Andrea, good luck with you kids' up coming LED treatments.

Carla, hope the increase in antibiotics isn't too rough on you.

Hi Jin! Just saying hi cuz you always think of me  .

Hi Susie Q, you crazy nut you  .

I'm a little behind on the gossip. Anyone hear from Kay recently? I'm wondering how giving up the smokes is going?

Oooh, better go to bed!

I LOVE the Monterey Bay Aquarium. :)

I've been there a few times and I just love going there...also to the wharf where they have places that serve the BEST clam chowder. :)

The otters are great. I also love watching the sea lions that are lounging around at the wharf in San Fran. or at the pier in Santa Cruz. :)

Thanks for the link.

I actually had the LED for PCB's yesterday....also Dioxin.

Mercury comes up in 3 weeks. :)

Hopefully no gossip, but

Skimming before bed - happened to see this.

I was able to hold off on cigs for about 6 days, but I'm smoking again.

Things have not gone well lately. I'm really just treading water right now. I haven't been reading the thread at all.

Had my first appointment with the dentist - future costs look to be around $7,500 all told - over a couple years.

I hope you're all well

Take care

Phew! :o it's getting harder and harder to keep up.

Dear tom,

That wrap you were describing sounded great! I was practically drooling reading about it! I am not sure if anyone sells brown rice wraps here, but maybe they do and I just did not see them. Some white rice wraps would be good as well. There are a few possibilities as to where they may be sold.

I started drooling from reading about u drooling from reading about it!! :P

Food4Life BrownRiceTortillas. If that natural food store *doesn't* have them, they should!

They work great once made pliable in the micro.

Thank you, Craig T. Nelson for my sports knowledge!

I must say, I love Favre!

Is there a "man in uniform" aspect to this too?

Corn is not tolerated by many people on here. It does have gluten, but it has a different protein structure from what I understand as the kind in wheat, barley, oats, and rye.

I wish they had different words for ours. Every grain has gluten, technically speaking, right?

Dear Kassandra,

I am sure someone can help you figure out what to eat. I think I go through that as well. It gets frustrating. There are so many things we cannot have being gluten-free, then when you have to eliminate dairy, corn, soy, peanuts, and other foods, you feel like you are doomed to bland and tasteless fare.

Until you break out the garlic etc!!

I thought I'd heard most of the local lore, but this hottie police squad is new to me. I would've bet the Ranch99 Market that the attack geese were more than adequate!! (Orrrrrr, are these the kind of 'police' who show up w/ boomboxes on their shoulders??)

Julie! LOL at all the "and man (Tom)"

No need, really. I'm just another one of the gals until someone needs something written in the snow. :o

(And yay to Johnny U's autograph!! give ya a buck & a gluten-free pancake for it! ) :P

SF colder w/ all that water inside the Golden Gate. There may be 10 to 40 "microclimates" betw SF & Monterey, depending on who u ask.

(They really use that word!)

DOn't learn my lesson about eating Avacados either. I am intolerant to them. but I will eat a whole one.

Well, stop THAT!!!

Dear tom,

How did the Celiac meeting go? Did you have fun? It was not depressing or anything I hope. Some of those groups are. Some people say the meetings are downers. I have not gone to any locally, but maybe I should seek a group.

The WhF celiac mtg wasn't like the other 2 I'd gone to. There were 20+ ppl at those, of all ages.

This time it was just me and 4 ppl, mostly my mom's age. <oh wait! One WAS my mom! >

Those mtgs have never been depressing!

Maybe not super exciting when a guest speaker is saying things we had to learn yrs ago, but some there may be hearing it for the first time.

There's always food to sample at the WhF mtgs. Not that *I* could have any. Just 0 for 3 tho. And only 1 ingred away last mtg lol !!

Did find out that the new giant WhF stores will mostly have actual restaurants inside!

I bet that monster store opening aug21 in Cupertino has one! :D (hey!! I read this morning that a new one on Blossom Hill will be biggest WhF EVER!!)<take _that_ texas!>

Had fun talking to the WhF rep for a while after the mtg. I'd met her before, but certainly made 0 impression while braindead and joyless. ;)

And Jin, you *should* seek out a group! I  meeting other celiacs!

The Spice Names began a while back. . . . . .Our buddy tom has to monitor Contrarian Spice, a bad little troublemaker who argues with people! Watch out for him!

Nah . . . . . I'm thinkin' Dollface caught up w/ him in Boca after all. :(

Hi Jenna1028, They test for DH by taking a small skin biopsy from clear skin next to a lesion.  If you have DH, you have celiac disease.  But, you need to be eating a gluten diet for 12 weeks (gluten challenge) before getting the skin bi...
To the OP, once in a while this stuff happens.  Please feel free to start a new topic if that would make it easier.  I am afraid this is just part of forums on the internet. I hope this didn’t chase you off.
