one of my twins, (the one that is really underweight) may be going to DC in june. they one a local history day fair, then they took second in the state history day, now they are going to washington DC if they can get enough money rounded up. any ideas on what she can take for food or maybe some safe places for her to eat when she is there? i think it may be a four day trip. the next week after the washington trip, she goes on a pioneer trek. her church leaders are a little concerned she will not be able to walk 10 miles---the ped gi kind of agrees with them. i just wish we could get some weight on her, she looks so frail and sickly.

Here's the restaurant list from DC celiacs. You can check out their website at http://www.dcceliacs.com for other information. I know that there is a great whole foods store in DC (been thre) and that a couple of the Smithsonian restaurants have gluten-free items on the menus. Hope this helps.
