I have one son who is celiac(diagnosed 5years ago) and we are waiting test results for our other son.

You would think I would know everything there is to know about the test results, but sadly, I don't. and I need a little help understanding the results. :)

These were his results. 1. EMA- negative

2. IGA- 184.

What do these mean? she mentioned that the IGA was high and indicated an auto immune issue. She also said combined with the negative EMA they donot suspect Celiac.

I know that many people believe(as well as the last GI doctor we had before we moved) that it is extremely important which labs you use and that there can be a high rate of false negatives. Are the referring to the EMA?

Thanks for your help with this!

(clueless, and should already know this!)
