Blood Work Positive, Waiting For Biopsy

Recommended Posts

Hi! New here...my 5 year old daughter has been having GI problems since birth and after many, many different tests, the GI specialist that we just started seeing at the Children's Hospital called today to say that Katie's bloodwork came back positive (what she said was "low positive") for celiac and we are going to schedule the biopsy.

Can anyone clue me into what happens from here? Would a low positive result from bloodwork mean that it may not be celiac? If celiac is the diagnosis, how did you make the transition...esp if you have younger kids who may not exactly understand why her food is changing all of a sudden. Any ideas, info you could give me would be great.

Thanks, Stephanie
