Ok, well I've been to Los Angeles a few times and although I don't know of any restaurants that have gluten free menus, I do know of a lot of restaurants that are very accomodating.

*The Polo Lounge (at the Beverly Hills Hotel): I stayed there when I was in Los Angeles and they would make me anything that I wanted. They told me that the next time I come to let them know ahead of time so they can get all of the proper ingredients to make me gluten free bread, waffles, pancakes, etc.

*Locanda Veneta: This is an Italian restaurant and it is one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. I've eaten there quite a few times and they always make me something flavorful that is gluten free. A lot of times I can order off the menu without altering anything because a lot of their stuff is very health-conscious. The only thing that I could have for dessert there were berries.

*Morton's restaurant (not Morton's steakhouse)

*Dolce Enoteca (Ashton Kutcher's restaurant): This was another one of my favorites. They make this appetizer which is fried zucchini, shrimp, and calamari and they fry it in garbanzo bean flour so it is gluten free. It is really good!

*In-N-Out Burger has a fair amount of gluten free choices. I know the french fries are gluten free. I don't eat meat so I'm not sure about the other options.

*There's this other restaurant that I can't remember but it makes a lot of really good salads and is on the street behind Rodeo drive. They also have Ciao Bella ice cream there which is gluten free along with a lot of different fruit/berry plates.

I live in nyc where there are a lot of gluten free restaurants but although I didn't find any in los angeles I find that overall they are a lot more knowledgeable in what gluten is. When I'm there it's usually on vacation and I eat out every meal and have never gotten sick. Have fun!

Beverly Hills/West Hollywood Area?

There is a PF Changs in the Beverly Center.

The Stinking Rose on LA Cienaga, they don't have gluten-free menu, but if you call in advance, they will accomodate and even let you bring your own bread to enjoy with the roasted garlic appetizer (YUM)

Solar Harvest 242 S Beverly Drive Has Gluten Free items on the menu and can make any sandwich gluten-free, they keep Food for Life Bread handy. Only open til 9pm though. Super Yummy.

Ruth Chris Steakhouse on S Beverly Drive, super accomodating, has a gluten free chocolate cake.

La Fe 1525 West Sunset, fresh mexican food, fresh fruit drinks. Only one owner speaks english, I recommend having a spanish dining card.

A Votre Sante 13016 San Vincente Blvd @26th Fabu Risottos. some of thier desserts are only "wheat free" not gluten-free.

For IN and Out. Order your burger "protien style" do not order with sauce or grilled onions. Ask them to cook it on a seperate grill away from the buns. They keep a clean grill open for this. French Fries and Shakes are safe.

Many of the higher end restaurants in that area are super accomodating with the use of dining cards. There is also a chain of Thai restaurants called East Wind THai that are awesome, but I would recommend having Thai dining cards for them.

Theres sushi everywhere, I recommend going to the slightly higher scale sushi places, the smaller hole in the wall ones are less helpful.

Enjoy.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I wanted to thank you lovely people for posting information. I printed off the restaurant list and brought it with me this past weekend for my LA trip!

The Stinking Rose was VERY DELICIOUS! And I enjoyed my first In-N-Out Burger: double-double protein style (no sauce or grilled onions). french fries, and a chocolate shake! I also tried out the Solar Harvest! It was super fun to have a menu in front of me with a selection of options that were gluten free-- And I went there twice so I could get another chocolate cubcake- no joke- gluten free!!! Wonderful! I also ate at a Chipotle next door to the Solar Harvest, for some hard shell tacos.

Thanks again for posting your info! It was very helpful.

Check out Outback (steakhouse) and PF Chang's (Chinese) websites for gluten free choices.

Good news...further research has led me to discover that La Grande Orange on Main Street in Santa Monica offers a gluten free menu : http://www.lagrandeorangesm.com/menus/lgo-gluten-free.pdf

And you can build your own custom burger bowl at the counter on ocean park in Santa Monica without gluten, dairy etc using this handy dandy chart: http://www.thecounterburger.com/aller...

Hope this helps someone out there who is in the mood to go out!

I think the best restaurant for gluten-free in West hollywood is Hugo's Restaurant on Santa Monica blvd. Very extensive menu with reasonable prices. They also offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. They specialize in gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian but also offer regular food so everyone's happy!
