Hello. I was wondering if anyone knew of brands of gluten-free lunchmeat? I have or thought I have been gluten-free for over a year, but after reading some messages I have found that I have been eating gluten. I eat lunchmeat and cheese about everyday for lunch. I would like to be sure on the gluten-free brands.

thanks!

Lots of lunch meats are gluten-free. With Oscar Meyer all you have to do is read the ingredients. Any gluten would be listed. Hillshire Farms and Carl Buddig are gluten-free. Most Sara Lee but not all (although the prepackaged ones might all be gluten-free). I think that all Boarshead lunch meats are gluten-free now.

Generally speaking my experience has been that if a lunch meat has gluten, it will be listed and that prepackaged lunch meats are all or virtually all gluten-free. One warning -- if you're having the meat sliced at a counter, you need to ask them to clean the slicer or use a clean one.

All prepackaged Sara Lee meats are gluten-free. Also-Hillshire as Richard mentioned. Hillshire Deli Selects are my favorite--in the red gladware tub.

Hormel has come out with a line of all natural gluten free and marked as such, lunch meats. Just look for the brown package, and their pepperoni has been labeled gluten-free for as long as I have been looking. I know most lunch meats are supposed to be safe but I would rather not have to call a company, and I do even if it appears okay- been got too many times. Plus they need to label clearly and I will continue to call and check on safety of anything not labeled gluten-free until all companies put it on their label.

If you live in Canada, Feybe's is gluten free and says so right on the label :D

I just went into a whole foods market today and they had lunch meat with a gluten free label right on the front of the package! I don't remember the brand name though. Just thought that you may want to check out whole foods markets because they may carry gluten-free lunch meats. The name of the store I was in is Amaranth Whole Foods Market.

Freybe is also casein free. It says lactose free on the label, but I confirmed with their website and they do not add any dairy.

Does anyone know if Wilson Hard Salami is gluten-free? I can't seem to get an answer if it is or not. I love eating cream cheese on a slice and then sandwiching another slice on top of that!! YUMMY!!
