I used to buy the Whole Foods brand (I believe it is 365) of frosted flakes. The other day I went in and read the ingredients (out of habit). I noticed that the label had changed and it now had malt flavor or malt something. I looked on their website and it looks like this cereal is no longer gluten-free :( Not happy

Just a warning to check labels if you buy this cereal.

I second that

I loved that cereal, what was wrong with it the way it was???

Maybe we should start a campaign to bring it back as gluten-free.

One would think that the cereal manufacturers would try to elminate as many unnecessary ingredients (malt) as possible to reduce their costs.....I mean that always happens to the the food that is on the "OK" list now and then anyway.

Hmmm...never tried it. I eat the Amazon frosted flakes.....LOVE EM!!

France,

I like the Amazon frosted flakes too, but the Whole Foods ones were even better! They had a lighter texture - I thought they tasted exactly like Frosted Flakes. Plus, they were cheap!

Oh well, my newest inexpensive (relatively speaking, of course) fave is Wegmans corn flakes with strawberries. I guess it's supposed to be their version of Special K with red berries. Pretty good! I don't know if the freeze dried fruits have the same nutrients as regular though...
