How To Deal In A Non-gluten-free Household?

Recommended Posts

Dishwashers - I don't have one, but my parents do, and I'm the only one eating gluten free at their place. I've so far been ok. When I take a plate from the cupboard I do check that it's shiny and clean, ditto for utensils. Sometimes dried up food might not get cleaned by the dishwasher, if I come across something like that we soak it and wash it again. My mom scrubs her stainless stell pans really well, better than I would, lol, those don't go in the dishwasher. So no problems with a dishwasher over here. :)

Regarding the dishwasher, I rinse everything very well (so that there is no visable residue left) and then wash everything together. I would not put something in there that had crumbs on it or anything like that.
