Karen, your pic of the twins brought tears of nostalgia to my eyes, remembering my boys in their Aikido gis... is that a Karate stance? I get the martial arts disciplines all mixed up.

Is it my imagination or does one have darker hair than the other? Just asking cause one of my twins is blond & the other brunet... yours look more alike than mine do though. I actually had people refuse to believe they were twins!

Yep. Connor on the left is almost blonde and Daniel is dark haired. Connor has blue eyes and Daniel has hazel/green eyes...... They are as different as night and day. Unbelievable, eh?

Drag racing sounds scary to me. I used to watch nascar races on tv many years ago.

Love your picture of you littlest ones too.

We went miniature golfing today. Wound up in Vancouver since we saw a decent course there, so we saved on the gas had we had to go down to Oregon. We choose to golf the 36 holes which was too much for poor Seth sitting in a stroller and dressed a little too warm for the heat we wound up having. I raced through the last 6 holes and got him back to the car to cool down. I'm tired now. I was also dressed wrong for the heat. I didn't realize it was going to be so hot today and it was comfortable when we left the house. Glad to be back home and glad that you guys didn't take off on a writing frenzy today. :P

Oh yeah, like you wouldn't believe.....

Daniel is firstborn - shy, bashful, thoughtful, long attention span, will sit for an hour colouring or playing with Hot Wheels..... If Daniel gets hurt even in the slightest, he's balling for 10 minutes.

Connor is born 4 minutes later - Hell on Wheels - the song "Bad to the Bone" is his theme song...... can't take you eyes off him for a second. Mischief is his middle name. LOL! He is wired sooooo differently! He is drawn to anything electronic. We have an entertainment system that includes the TV, 1 VCR, 1 DVD player, 1 DVD recorder, complete stereo system, and the Rogers Digital Cable box. We have 6 converters for all. Connor knows which converter is for what machine, what buttons to press, how to singlehandedly hook up the X-Box system, etc. etc. Also, Connor will walk up to just about anybody and introduce himself, ask what their name is, and if they want to play or not...... not shy at all! If Connor gets hurt, no matter how bad it is, he gets up and says "It's OKAY! I'm OKAY! I'm not hurt!" He will NEVER admit when he is hurt!! Mr. Tough Guy!

Can't get much more opposite than that!

This is so cool-- so much like my guys! (They're 19 now... how did that happen?) Except in our house the quiet one was the electronics guy... still great with computers...

He's come out of his shell a bit over the years, & in fact they even look more alike now, but I used to say it was like having a science experiment in your own home... nature vs. nurture... not saying nurture isn't important, but those guys were hard-wired in the womb! I have pictures when they were tiny & you can see their distinct personalities even then. I'm sure Connor & Daniel too...

They were born at 31 weeks gestation (9 weeks early) because Daniel broke his water. See, Connor kept on kicking him in the head and Daniel finally said "I'm blowing this popsicle stand!" They were both 3 lbs 12 oz. when they were born. It's funny, we have video of when they were first home from the hospital - Daniel was the troublesome, noisy baby, Connor was quiet. We even used to joke about it. Then, six months, MAN! TOTAL SWITCH! Weird, eh?

That is weird! Did either of yours have colic? I've often wondered if that was a celiac precursor... one of mine did & the other didn't...

Must sign off... both kids out of the house for the night... husband becoming grumpy for lack of attention!!! See you tomorrow.

Nope. Thank God none of my kids ended up with colic. So far I have had the girls bloodtest done, both negative, but haven't tested the boys yet. Daniel used to have constipation problems when he was younger but not now. Connor hasn't had any problems. Rhiannon is the one I am convinced will have celiac. She is fine boned, delicate, and has had constipation problems also......

Just a drive by post, I have not read the 55 pages and frankly probably wont :lol: been doing some paint/remodling work and have my ASL and FIATH class, plus my 2 jobs and my son... not had time to keep up wtih all you post-a-holics LOL

( I did a search on my name though, foudn only a few posts... so figured I should post somthing before you completely forget me....)

Just a trophy??? Trophy's are an excellent prize! I've gotten the tiniest trophies....some for 3rd place even but they still meant the world to me and I displayed them proudly in my room. :D

I've never gotten cash for anything...just little trophies, ribbons, t-shirts...stuff like that. I have alot of softball t-shirts cuz thats what they pass out to the winning team.

I'm kind of embarrassed to ask this but what exactly is drag racing? What are you racing in and where....on a track?? :unsure:

It is a place where you can race dragsters - those long pointy cars or you can race a regular race car. Unlike Bill, I race trophy & so does his dad. Some people race souped up cars but I race my Mustang Convertible that I also drive to work. It is an 1/8 mile track & it is bracket racing so the slower cars leave before the faster cars & therefore theoretically you should arrive at the same time.

It is not scary at all. I don't go fast enough in my car to have to wear a helmet. I just buckle in & go. Bill, on the other hand, has to wear this fireproof jacket & helmet & has roll bars & such like a regular race car you in Nascar races. It is really a alot of fun.

It seems like the time of day here in KY that I get on here everyone else must be asleep or something.

Hi everyone! We're back ... I'm sick. I don't know if I was glutened or what ... Morgan made me some eggs and a gluten-free english muffin. I looked over everyone's posts, but don't have the energy to remember what all to say in response ... love the new pics. I feel like going out for a latte and a real cookie, what would it hurt, I feel bad already ... but I have three people in this house who are bigger than me, so I can't.

Thanks. I don't know if it is glutening or what ... I was ill before we left, didn't feel good while we were there, now sick again/still. I think it was a virus before we left since Morgan had the same thing and we had been eating at home ... I don't really know what's wrong ... I guess that's a topic for another thread. Susan, where is that complaining thread? I'll meet you there!

Ok, so if Mom didn't think I was truly Racheling before with the ice cream....she should definitely believe it now. Since I've been off dairy the past three days, today being the fourth, I have had to have serious pulling apart from my chocolate :( It's so hard, but I have found that I've been on a major sugar rush lately resulting from it. For lunch I started out with a doughnut (gluten free of course), I then ate about ten cookies (also gluten free), then a dairy free piece of chocolate and finally I made some more cookies eating quite a bit of the "dough." Mmmmm, it was good :P But I think I'm close to being sick...not really but I think I'll go grocery shopping for Mom for dinner and buy myself some spinich and coloflower ( :blink: how do we spell that....cauloflower, caloflour...I don't know and am not going to look it up :D )

I haven't had to do spelling with you in years, but to all you homeschoolers out there, here's how I did it (not that it worked!) ... spell a word wrong, add it to your daily list. Spell it correctly three days in a row, moves to the weekly list, three weeks in a row, and it's retired. So, Morgan, add cauliflower ... :)

She is definatley Racheling meringue cookies. But did you see how much fudge Luke bought? I can't wait till he's sick to his stomach off that and tries to hide it (hee, hee, I'm such a bad, mean mom). Okay, I think I may try to get up finally ... thanks for a great lunch Morgan.

      Im so frustrated and still getting the run around trying to reprove my celiac disease which my past primary ignored for 25 years.I understand that theres a ray of medical that doctors are limited too but not listening and telling the patient ( me) that im not as sensitive as I think and NOT celiac!Correction Mr white coat its not what I think but for cause and affect and past test that are not sticking in my medical records.I get sick violently with foods consumed, not eating the foods will show Im fabulous. After many blood draws and going through doctors I have the HLA- DQ2 positive which I read in a study that Iran conducted that the severity in celiac is in that gene.Im glutenfree and dealing with related issues which core issue of celiac isn't addressed. My skin, right eye, left leg diagestive issues affected. I have high blood pressure because im in pain.Im waisting my time on trying to reprove that Im celiac which is not a disease I want, but unfortunately have.It  has taken over my life personally and professionally. How do I stop getting medically gaslight and get the help needed to bounce back if I ever do bounce back to normal? I thought I was in good care with " celiac specialist " but in her eyes Im good.Im NOT.Sibo positive, IBS, Chronic Fatigue just to name a few and its all related to what I like to call a ghost disease ( celiac) since doctors don't seem to take it seriously.

      @Martha Mitchell, your reaction to the lens implant with gluten sounds like it could be an allergic reaction rather than a celiac reaction. It is possible for a celiac to be also allergic to gluten as it is a protein component in wheat, barley and rye.

      Scott I also have different symptoms than most people. It affects me bad. Stomach ache, headache, nauseous, heart racing, whole body shaking, can't walk then my throat starts to close. It attacks my nervous system. The only thing that saves me is a 1/2 of Xanax...it calms down my nervous system

      Scott Adams. I was dealing with a DR that didn't care about me being celiac. I repeatedly told him that I was celiac and is everything gluten-free. He put an acrylic lens from j&j. I called the company to ask about gluten and was told yes that the acrylic they use has gluten....then they back tracked immediately and stopped talking to me. The Dr didn't care that I was having issues. It took me 6 months and a lot of sickness to get it removed.... which can only happen within 6 months. The Dr that took it out said that it was fused and that's why I lost vision. If they would have removed it right away everything would be fine. He put in a silicone one that was gluten-free and I've had no issues at all in the other eye. Do not do acrylic!
