okay, so here is the skinny....for those of you who don't know my history...here it ishere

So anyways, I go to the allergist/immunologist yesterday. I tell him about the scalp stuff.... he says hmmm,,,it coulb be DH, but probably not since the breakout is just on the scalp. He went ahead and did a skin test for other food intolerences, and refered me to a dermatologist for a biopsy. By the way, I passed the allergy skin testing with flying colors!... (and yes, I know DH isn't determined by skin testing)....that's why he wanted a biopsy done. So I got an appt with the dermatologist the same day!! Unbelievable!

The dermatologist was a complete ****! She didn't even bother to hear my history. She just immediatly starts digging through my scalp and saying, "there's hardley any rash here!" That's when I begin to tell her that I have been on a gluten-free diet for three weeks and that this is the first time in three years that my scalp has looked this good without meds. So, then she asks me what I am doing there. I stated to her that I had 2 pustules on my scalp , and wanted to get one biopsied. She said, "well, i guess we can biopsy it for DH.

Anyways, long story short, she was a ****!, but I got my biopsy. She said that if the biopsy comes back "wierd", that she will need to take a second biopsy and do an immunoflourescence. Anyhow, at least I will know what this damn leprosy on my scalp is :D If it's not DH then I'll have to start questioning why the gluten-free diet made it so much better... Anyways....good luck to you all. much love ! Brizzo
