Ok....questions About Casein Intolerance?

Recommended Posts

This is the second time I've reacted to a Blue Bunny yogurt that's supposed to be gluten free. So is it the casein?? I have the same basic symptoms as with gluten.

As for me, I get bloated and gassy, and have diarrhea if I consume milk.

It's fairly immediate for me, though, as is the recovery. My first reaction is within a couple of hours, with the D lasting up to a day. And then I'm good.

Oh, and the gas I get from milk is S T I N K Y!!!!

 Sadly, me too. I get immediate mouth tingle and burning and then the stomach and then the visits to my old pal John. This one was harder for me to give up than gluten. Cheese was a hard one to give up for me, so I tried soy and same problems with soy, so I am cheeseless :( .

I learned that all three-gluten, casein, and soy can cause flattening and villi damage, so be as diligent with it as you are with gluten if that is the case with you.

You're kidding! Yucko on the villi problem!

I was trying to go dairy free, but have had tiny amounts when I put cheese on our broccoli. I usually only take the pieces that have very little cheese on them.

Ok....nothing left to eat. I already was steering clear of soy as well. If I have to give up corn, I'm gonna be mad!!

Thanks for the info!!
