Turtle

Found A New Book

Recommended Posts

I work with Autistic children and many parents choose to put their autistic child/children on a gluten-free/CF diet.

Well...our CEO came to me this morning and said: "I though you might be interested in this since you have to eat gluten-free". He presented me with a book called "Special Diets for Special Kids Two". It's by Lisa Lewis, PhD.

It's got some good recipes in there and some good tips on how to keep a gluten-free/CF kitchen, as well as some other resources and such.

I know there are some of you who are "mommy's" and you've been looking for kiddie snacks, school lunch ideas, etc. You might want to check the book out. I looked it up online as I think I might purchase my own copy and Amazon seems to have it at the cheapest price. Haven't checked to see if any libraries carry it yet.

Anyhow, hope this is helpful!

Oh turtle - thank you! My 5yo neice is being tested for Celiac soon. I hope of course she doesn't have it but if she does, there is another kid in her class that has it too so she won't be alone.
