Cellulose Gum, Guar Gum

Recommended Posts

i was wondering if ingrediends such as cellulose gum, guar gum, acacia gum---or any other"gum" used to be considered on the "not-safe" list of ingredients. i have heard someone with a celiac relative say that a celiac can't have anything with any type of "gum" in it. these products are all listed on the "safe" list. are some of these people just not keeping up with new information?

I don't know. We had a guy at a restaurant NOT let ME look at the ingredients of ice cream that was always served in a bowl, so no chance of cc from a cone. He checked the ingredients and said, "It has carageenan." I said that that was fine and he said better safe than sorry and gave Ty strawberries that weren't even ripe. <_< He had his dessert ice cream at home.
