Dizziness

Has anyone experienced dizziness from glutening? I was glutened 4 weeks ago and I am still having symptoms. I have fogginess but I am also quite dizzy.

While recovering, I was frequently dizzy. I felt that my equalibriun was way out of wack. I almost felt that I was walking sideways. Mime went away after being gluten free for some time (about 6 months).

I am sure that it will improve soon. :)

Oh yes, I had really bad dizzy spells. At first the docs thought it was low blood pressure (they put me on a high-salt diet made me so sick!) I finally was diagnosed with BPV (Benign Positional Vertigo). Mine bothers me most when looking up, but for awhile it was constant when I was sitting in front of my computer at work (I work on the computer all day so it was real torture). I almost went on medical leave. I also had the nausea. I was able to secure a different computer monitor for work that has me looking down most of the time and that has helped.

I was sent to a physical therapist that showed me several different exercises that I was supposed to do on a daily basis. At first I thought it was hogwash, becuase it didn't seem to be helping, but slowly over time, most of the dizzy spells resolved themselves. It was a lot of repetitve motion of my head, up and down, side to side- the idea is to condition the body to get used to the "trigger" movement that causes your dizzy spells. I still get dizzy spells occasionally, especially if I'm looking up, like at the top shelf in a grocery store. Overall though, I am much better.

Are you kidding me? Six months?

Aw man... I've been extremely dizzy and lightheaded lately, have been my whole life mainly, but ever since going gluten-free, after like the first two days, its became way worse...

Yes, I get a dizzy-lightheaded feeling when glutened. I used to feel like that most of the time before I went gluten-free, and it took some time after for it to only occur when glutened.

How long did it take? :)

Me too! I've been feeling this for the last few years but not as bad as it is now. I've only knowingly eaten gluten twice in the last year, the lightheadedness was a bit worse on those two ocassions.

Only one year, sorry, but yes, still light-headed and dizzy...but in my case I think it's related to something else...one of two things...I should know more about WHICH in a few weeks. Eating gluten definitely made it worse and it did get better after I stopped eating it regularly.
