Do you have questions about celiac disease or the gluten-free diet?

It's been months since I checked out the Celiac.com Message Board. Was first diagnosed with Celiac Disease in Nov. 2005. This Message Board was my SAVING GRACE! During my initial healing, was on your Board for hours learning about Celiac Disease, feeling your pain, and gaining strength from everyone elses experiences w/ doctors, family & friends. Went several months without the dreaded symptoms and then just in time for my 1st anniversary come the bloating and gas, diarrhea/constipation, and cramping. Guess my symptoms are a gift of telling me to be more watchful; that this truly is a disease and a very inconvenient one (guess all diseases are inconvenient). Went to a holiday dinner party at an Italian Restaurant a couple of weeks ago and can't tell you how tempted I was to eat the variety of pasta dishes being served; and can't imagine how miserable I'd be, if I had. Am thinking I was glutened last weekend while on a date. Thought the spinach/artichoke dip w/ melted cheese I'd ordered would be gluten free, but within a couple of days the symptoms of Celiac were back w/ a vengance. Shopped at Trader Joe's today and spied the same dip; looked at the ingredients and sure enough - wheat.

Started Real Estate the 1st of August this year and have sold a couple of homes! Am combining my Interior Decorating with the R/E. My Logo is: Real Estate, Real Design, Real Value. Please check out my website: www.RadNMHomes.com.

Had my first art opening (along w/ 32 other artists) this year. Also try to pastel plein-air paint weekly. Purchased the Canon Rebel digital camera and am enjoying field trips w/ it, as well as being a member of a great camera club.

But for the moment, don't feel like doing much of anything w/ Celiac symptoms wearing me down. Pray our discomfort from this uncomfortable disease will soon pass. Are there any cures for Celiac Disease on the horizon?
