:( So now he's been gluten free for 3 weeks, gained 2 pounds and iron going slightly up....NOW he should eat gluten all he wants till the test in 2 weeks??????? Oh please pray for us......this is really confusing!

If he's doing better off the gluten, he could stay gluten-free till the test and just consider it to be checking to be sure everything else is okay ... as you now know, if he's gluten-free, it can alter the test. If he's feeling better, seems like you have the answer -- gluten is a problem for him!

The biopsy actually already has a high false negative rate even if he stays on gluten. He needs to do what makes him feel better, no matter what the tests say.

It is confusing, and I'm sorry there's not a clearer answer for you. It will be a judgment call for you and your husband.

Good luck. I know it seems cruel, but you will have for sure answers for the rest of you life and a good starting point to check the improvement and progress. There are many conditions that respond to a gluten-free diet and it's nice to know which one it is for sure so other family members can be screened. Good luck and hang it there.

      Trying to read my lab results

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.
