I'm Back

Viola 1 Rookie

Hi all ... yup, it's me, the old Viola. I had major problems getting back on the board, so have just put in a new profile.

And I see that everything has changed. I need to figure out how to get my little Sheba back in an avatar ... we still have those right? And all my fun stuff back.

Anyway, I'll work on it when I have time.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Shirley

Ha, Shirley--I thought that might be you when I saw the name on the on-line list!

Sorry you had such problems getting onto the board, but am very glad you succeded in returning to us.

Yes, we still have avatars--they work the same as before. Lots of new, though. If you need anything, give me a yell. I don't completely understand everything yet, either--but I'll try! :)

I'm glad to be back, and I even found my Little Sheba dressed in her Christmas finery.

I was off line for awhile with a back injury, still can't sit too long at the computer, but will be checking in to make sure everyone is behaving themselves.

I wondered why it looked like your thingy changed. However, the Shiba Inu looks adorable in her hat.

So, is there any cheap places to rent, buy out your way. Any jobs rolling about or wealthy men ready to croak who want to will me their money. I so want out of Alberta.

:lol: Well, you will have to let me know how much 'cheap rent' would be. I know Alberta is pretty expensive right now. We here in the Kootenay's are still reasonably priced. I really haven't looked at the rents though, as we have our little bit of paradise in the Slocan valley. You could buy out here for under $200,000 if you are not looking for anything huge. Our place would go for about $300,000 as we have almost 6 acres and are attached to a golf course. That's why we are being invaded by Albertans

What kind of work would you be looking for? You likely wouldn't have trouble finding any as everyone has gone to Alberta for the big wages ... and big living expenses.

I think you would love it here, it's very beautiful!

Thanks for your response.  Everything you mentioned he is and has been doing.  Tobacco is not the same as nicotine.  Nicotine, in the form of a patch, does not cause gastrointestinal irritation.  Smoking does. He is not smoking.  Please do your research before stating false information. Dr. Paul Newhouse has been doing research on nicotine the last 40 years at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Im so frustrated and still getting the run around trying to reprove my celiac disease which my past primary ignored for 25 years.I understand that theres a ray of medical that doctors are limited too but not listening and telling the patient ( me) that im not as sensitive as I think and NOT celiac!Correction Mr white coat its not what I think but for cause and affect and past test that are not sticking in my medical records.I get sick violently with foods consumed, not eating the foods will show Im fabulous. After many blood draws and going through doctors I have the HLA- DQ2 positive which I read in a study that Iran conducted that the severity in celiac is in that gene.Im glutenfree and dealing with related issues which core issue of celiac isn't addressed. My skin, right eye, left leg diagestive issues affected. I have high blood pressure because im in pain.Im waisting my time on trying to reprove that Im celiac which is not a disease I want, but unfortunately have. It  has taken over my life personally and professionally. How do I stop getting medically gaslight and get the help needed to bounce back if I ever do bounce back to normal? I thought I was in good care with " celiac specialist " but in her eyes Im good.Im NOT.Sibo positive, IBS, Chronic Fatigue just to name a few and its all related to what I like to call a ghost disease ( celiac) since doctors don't seem to take it seriously.

@Martha Mitchell, your reaction to the lens implant with gluten sounds like it could be an allergic reaction rather than a celiac reaction. It is possible for a celiac to be also allergic to gluten as it is a protein component in wheat, barley and rye.

Scott I also have different symptoms than most people. It affects me bad. Stomach ache, headache, nauseous, heart racing, whole body shaking, can't walk then my throat starts to close. It attacks my nervous system. The only thing that saves me is a 1/2 of Xanax...it calms down my nervous system
