I'm not sure if this is the place to put this, but I was wondering if there was any way we could get a Welcome center for the forum? Just a place where new arrivals can say hi and regular attenders can meet them? I just think it'd be really helpful for some ^-^

Thanks!

~Tippy

Most newbies identify themselfs as such. As I have seen, most if not all get a welcome. We have a wide variety of people who specialize in their duties. Some are welcommers, some are good with products and some have the technical abilities.

It does seem to work well. But I do understand your thoughts though.

Welcome Tippy, everything might seem over whelming, but it does get easier. When I first joined in Aug I was scared to death. Everyone on here is very knowledgable (probably spelled wrong) not a good day for me. You will learn alot. have a happy new year.

As a newbie, agreed

Welcome Tippy

Hope to see more of you here on the forum.

And it is so true Momma Goose, and I had never thought about that before, that we all all had our duties and specialized in them

I am not quite sure what my duty is, but I guess I will slot into my position eventually.

Its interesting this was brought up. The first thing I looked for recently when joining was an Introduce Yourself area. No doubt depends on available resources for maintenance but could be worth while.

Tippy Apprentice

Nice to meet yall too ^-^ Im usually ok with just jumping in to stuff, so it wasnt too big an issue not really introducing myself ^-^;;; I hope to get to know a bunch of yall soon!

Hi Pondlady and Tippy. Welcome to the board. Glad you have jumped in without an individual welcome thread :D It is a good thought, perhaps would be a good place to post the 'Newby" kit.

Just wanted to jump in here and welcome yall to the board!

Often, a newbie will start a thread, introduce themselves, describe where they are in the process of being sick/getting diagnosed, etc. So feel free to post it....maybe in the coping section. You'll be sure to get lots of welcomes :)

lol its a smile ^-^ happy eyes and a small mouth... if that makes sense =P i tend to make my own expressions rather than use the smilies provided @___@ but thanks for asking! i tend to forget most people dont recognize them ^-^;;;; (thats a sweatdrop)

Scott Adams Grand Master

Hi Tippy,

I recommend that you use our expressions here rather than these--people have no idea what yours are, and you will just spend too much time explaining them to everyone...thank you!

Take care,

Scott

Thanks for your response.  Everything you mentioned he is and has been doing.  Tobacco is not the same as nicotine.  Nicotine, in the form of a patch, does not cause gastrointestinal irritation.  Smoking does. He is not smoking.  Please do your research before stating false information. Dr. Paul Newhouse has been doing research on nicotine the last 40 years at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Im so frustrated and still getting the run around trying to reprove my celiac disease which my past primary ignored for 25 years.I understand that theres a ray of medical that doctors are limited too but not listening and telling the patient ( me) that im not as sensitive as I think and NOT celiac!Correction Mr white coat its not what I think but for cause and affect and past test that are not sticking in my medical records.I get sick violently with foods consumed, not eating the foods will show Im fabulous. After many blood draws and going through doctors I have the HLA- DQ2 positive which I read in a study that Iran conducted that the severity in celiac is in that gene.Im glutenfree and dealing with related issues which core issue of celiac isn't addressed. My skin, right eye, left leg diagestive issues affected. I have high blood pressure because im in pain.Im waisting my time on trying to reprove that Im celiac which is not a disease I want, but unfortunately have. It  has taken over my life personally and professionally. How do I stop getting medically gaslight and get the help needed to bounce back if I ever do bounce back to normal? I thought I was in good care with " celiac specialist " but in her eyes Im good.Im NOT.Sibo positive, IBS, Chronic Fatigue just to name a few and its all related to what I like to call a ghost disease ( celiac) since doctors don't seem to take it seriously.

@Martha Mitchell, your reaction to the lens implant with gluten sounds like it could be an allergic reaction rather than a celiac reaction. It is possible for a celiac to be also allergic to gluten as it is a protein component in wheat, barley and rye.

Scott I also have different symptoms than most people. It affects me bad. Stomach ache, headache, nauseous, heart racing, whole body shaking, can't walk then my throat starts to close. It attacks my nervous system. The only thing that saves me is a 1/2 of Xanax...it calms down my nervous system
