OK, I have to ask this...is mucus in your stools a symptom of celiac disease? I noticed during my two week gluten-free peroid that this didn't appear to be happening. Now that I'm black on gluten, suddenly every now and then when I er go....there is mucus visible. I've had this for YEARS, never thought it was anything abnormal. From time to time I've even seen a bit of blood in this mucus. It never occurred to me this was a symptom of celiac disease....

When it happens to me, it means I've been eating a high fat food (potato chips usually!). It could also mean you are not absorbing enough nutrients.

This is a common symptom found with many people who have Celiac or absorption issues, which often go hand-in-hand.

Why are you back eating gluten?

Good question, I posted about this the other day. I seek convincing evidence because I have a

twin brother. I want to be able to push it in his face and say "Celiac".

He has the same tooth enamel defects I have, if I have it he does.

I'm going to tough it out for a few weeks and get the standard blood test and perhaps

a biopsy. I need to know for sure.

Enterolab makes a good case for me having it, but I want more evidence. That's why.

It's not much fun...especially going from gluten-free to eating Gluten again...that was tough. Jerry

Enlarged lymph nodes in neck and groin with celiac are not uncommon. They can take time to reduce even after going gluten-free. Monitoring is key.

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.
