Easy Way To Keep Track Of My Own Posts?

Recommended Posts

I've been posting in different sections of the message board and would like to check back and see if people have replied or commented on my posts but unfortunately I can't remember where all my posts are! Is there a easy way to keep track of my own postings??

If I check 'Enable email notification of replies?' at the bottom of the post will that work? But then will I get all emails for that entire thread? I notice some threads get 1000's of postings!! Not sure my mailbox can handle that!

Thanks!

Go to "My Assistant" under there you can see all of your posts and the number of people who responded.

There may be an easier way, but that is what I have been doing...

Take care,

Peggy

The other thing you can do, is when you click "add reply" for when you make a reply:

there is a box below that says "Post Options" and it has three options

Enable emoticons

Enable signature

Enable email notification of replies

Check that box and you will get an email when new posts have been added. This way, you can easily keep track of threads that you are interested in (that either you started, or posted to).

Hope this helps :)

I have nothing against PeggyV at all, but my personal preference is easily that described by MySuicidalTurtle :D Both work, but the interface that pops up with the user name method seems to be most complete and friendly, in my opinion.

You know, I chose that box and I still don't get any email replies. Does anyone have any ideas why? I also have chosen email reply in my profile part as well.

You should be receiving emails that someone has responded to the post---you won't get an email with the post in it. It will be an email that looks like this:

"topic subscription notification reply" is the title:

USERX has just posted a reply to a topic that you have subscribed

to titled "Name of Topic Here".

The topic can be found here:

http://www.glutenfreeforum.com/xxxxxx

There may be more replies to this topic, but only 1 email is sent per

board visit for each subscribed topic. This is

to limit the amount of mail that is sent to your inbox.

Unsubscribing:

--------------

You can unsubscribe at any time by logging into your control panel and

clicking on the "View Subscriptions" link.

Has anyone responded to the thread that you want tracked? If no replies, no emails will be sent out.

Thanks, I actually received an email this time saying you replied, although that is the first one i have ever received. Do they only come when someone specifically replies to your post or if anyone replies to the thread?

You should receive an email anytime a new response is posted, to any specific thread you have marked that you want followed.

However, as noted in the email you will receive:

"There may be more replies to this topic, but only 1 email is sent per

board visit for each subscribed topic. This is

to limit the amount of mail that is sent to your inbox."

Say you are off the board for a week, but 3 people responded over the course of that week. You will only receive one email.

However, if you are on the board regularly, you might get multiple emails. (You are on at 12 pm, someone responds at 1. You get an email. You log on at 2 and read it. Another person responds at 3. You get another email. Someone responds again, but since you haven't logged on again, you won't get another email. You log on. Etc.)

Does this help clarify?
