Well, I don't know your area, but it depends upon your diet too. Many ordinary items are gluten-free, but health stores generally have specialty gluten-free items not found elsewhere.

If you have Whole Foods, Wild Oats, Vitamin Cottage, Wegmans, Trader Joe's...those are all good places. I know that a lot of people also buy their stuff online (like the flours, etc. that they buy in bulk--much cheaper that way). I haven't started doing that yet, so I don't know of good sites. Also, I've noticed that even in my regular grocery stores (King Soopers, aka Kroger and Safeway) often have signs with the gluten free stuff. Safeway has a pretty good natural foods section.
