but I haven't been able to find them anywhere up here in Canada. Are there any Canadians that can tell me if they have found them up here? I want to start putting Connor on more gluten-free items slowly, but I have to do it where he really doesn't realize at first. I can use gluten-free noodles, but you can't replace the taste of KD cheese packets!

Thanks!

Karen

Hi Karen,

Check your grocery in the cheese section near the Kraft grated Parmesan in the green shaker. In or around that area should be a similar Kraft product called grated Cracker Barrel cheese. It's in an orangey-yellow shaker. My kids say it tastes pretty much the same.

I found some at on on-line grocer (I googled "kraft cheese powder") and got some in a can that's meant to be sprinkled on popcorn, etc. It's the real thing, thank GOd  Someone else mentioned to me that since a box is really so cheap, why not just throw out the noodles and use the cheese package? Or could that be a cc issue for you?

Hi,

My in-laws buy that stuff at a bulk foods place. I've seen it online from bulk suppliers. Look for popcorn cheese. I've also found it at Wal-Mart in a small can that looks just like the blue box. It is with the canned parmesan cheese. I don't know if they have Cabot cheese in Canada but they make a some called Cheddar Shake. It isn't orange though :P

Hi Karen - I too have been looking for the sauce mix (I usually buy a box of Kraft Dinner and throw out all but the cheese package, substituing Tinkykada pasta).

I found this at amazon .com

looks like the stuff they're talking about above?

I bought the regular boxes of Kraft mac n cheese and threw out the noodles just to use the cheese with my gluten free noodles and it messed up my stomach bad. I even tried it twice to make sure it was the cheese that messed me up so bad ? It was just so good that I figured I should try again to make sure it was the culprit lol

Could also be the dairy or any of the other crud in the cheese....I make my own vegan cheese sauces, or buy a Alfredo cashew cheese sauce I recently found. Daiya makes their cheese packets you can just buy to put on what ever you wish. Many celiacs have issues with dairy as the damaged villi will not work with the enzymes to break it down.
