OMG!!!!!!

I was just about to post a messsage regarding ICBINB!!!!!

I've been experiencing Celiac related problems lately. My problems started about the time I got the butter. Ive been enjoying rice cakes with a smear of butter. I go thru rice cakes like its water...Its been a few weeks now Ive had very bad gas and pain in my lower back and pelvic area. I have a few notes posted here about this.

So, I am suspicious that the butter may be the cause. I never found out if they were truly gluten-free!!!!

What are your symptoms?

I have had really bad gas pains and that undigested food feeling for the past two weeks...the first day I noticed it was two wednesdays ago. The only food products that I changed that night were a different brand of cornmeal (which I purchased at whole foods and should not have gluten in it), a new bottle of spray butter, and I took some Tylenol for my back, but I had previously taken it before with no consequences.

Just a suggestion here... If you're eating Quaker brand rice cakes they are NOT considered gluten free by the company. They suggest that Celiacs avoid all Quaker products due to cross contamination.

We use real butter ....because more often than not margarines and subsitute butters have more lactose and lactic acid than real butter does and lactose bothers me. Could this be the case for you as product then is gluten-free but perhaps you are sensitive to lactose?

Just a thought....

Hmmmm....I never thought of that, but i have been lactose intolerant for years and using the spray butter for even less....it never seemed to bother me...however, I am notorious for spraying on more than the serving size!!!!! I go through a bottle of this stuff a week.......it tastes good!!!

It contains chemical perservatives and artificial flavors. Stuff like that gives me symptoms...maybe that's something to consider if you're eating quite a bit of it

ps - I have friends who are literally addicted to their "spray butter"...I don't know what's so great about the stuff but you are not the only person who goes through a bottle a week
