I have been having visual fatigue for quite some time, and it is much worse when glutened. Anyone else have problems with their eyes when trying to do work that requires concentration. My eyes always feel heavy and tired and i dont know why. I dont do too much computer work and my stress level isnt real high. I will get little dizzy spells, that i believe come from eye fatigue and possibly from my bloated feeling stomach. How do i get rid of these ridiculously tired eyes?

My celiac husband claims this is one of the first symptoms of being glutened. His eyes get heavy and ache and he doesn't even try to read While its always worse when glutened, he had it to some degree even when not. He mentioned it to his doctor at a regular checkup and the dr looked closer under a magnifier at them and said he had a mild exzema on his eyelids. (which I understand exzema can be associated with celiac as well) The doctor told him to wash his eyelids with soap and water to help remove the scaling...and low and behold it worked. As long as he does this, he no longer has a problem. He uses regular soap, but ouch..if it were me I'd use No More Tears.

Oh wow I am having that too. And of course the worse I react to something, the more swollen and tired my eyes are... for me, I am especially worst first thing in the morning. I feel that I need toothpicks to keep my eyes open!! ;)

Yes I believe exzema is related to the Celiac disease as well,

sending you both healing wishes
