Looking For Help Please

I had a horrible night last night. I must have some how gotten glutened. I'm just not sure if it was from yesterday or the day before. I had horrible night sweats, I had to change my nightgown in the middle of the night. I havent' had that bad of a reaction since going gluten free the beginning of the year. That used to happen to me all the time pre gluten free. It was one of the first symptoms to go away. I also have itchy red bumps here and there on my body. Some hurt to touch and some itch. I have been on diflocan for about 6 weeks. As long as I'm taking it, I don't wake up with a mouth full of mucus. Soon as I stop I feel like I have to blow my mouth in the morning. I do know that I'm more sensitive to gluten. I have checked cosmetic, body wash, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, medication. We did eat out Tuesday night which I know is risky. I am almost afraid to eat which isn't good either.

That does sound like a glutening to me. Are those typical glutening symptoms for you? It could be a delayed reaction from Tuesday, or you might have gotten cc'd by something completely random. It happens to me about once a year, a glutening where I just can't pinpoint the reason. I hope you feel better soon!

I haven't totally figured out what is a typical gluten reaction. I haven't had what happened the other night that bad since going gluten free. Before I went off gluten it happened all of the time. It was one of the first symptoms to disappear. I originally went gluten free, because I thought many of the rashes I've had over the years could be DH. I do have a little sister with celiac disease. I also was having a lot of itching in the female area. I was treating it as a yeast infection, but still was itching. I did go to the gyno in January. Tested negative for yeast. She did a biopsy that came back spongiotic dermatitis (They don't know what it is). I googled that and found the natural cure was a gluten free diet. The itching did go away and so did all my rashes. My skin is actually soft and I'm not great about using lotion. I always had dry skin my whole life until I went gluten free. I did have a negative blood test, but decided to try the diet anyway. I do know I am more sensitive to gluten. I'm sure CC is an issue. My family doesnt' totally get it, but try. I have a son who works in a pizza place, so I'm sure he leaves me an unknown gluten trail. I refuse to wash his clothes. I guess I still haven't figured out how long from when I ingested gluten somehow to the reaction. Last night wasn't quite as bad so I'm hoping it is over. Although I have the itching in the female area back and I don't think it is yeast. It seems the more I get glutened, the more original symtoms that went away come back if that makes sense. I'm just hoping to break this cycle.

In the end, all you can do is avoid gluten as well as you can. As I said, I get the occasional mystery glutening as well, but in general I seem to have gotten to a place where my life style is safe enough. My husband eats gluten still but we've figured out ways to minimize risk at home. I'm sure you will, too.
