Dexa Scan Anyone?

My DD will have a DEXA scan in a few weeks. Did anyone else have this done to check bone density?

I've had 2 - it is a super easy test, you just lay on a flat table and a scanner "arm" goes down the length of your body. It's over in 5 minutes, you just have to lay still. You wear a gown or clothes (no metal - underwire or zipper).

I had one five years before I ever heard of gluten or celiac. I was only 23 and had shrunk 4 inches since high school. Very easy, as the other person said. The person administering the test even showed me a graph of my results right then... although the doc interpreted them in a different way. I have also had several PIXI scans. Easiest tests ever. :D

      Trying to read my lab results

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.
