Replacement For Sweetened Condensed Milk?

Recommended Posts

What do the dairy free people use as a replacement for sweetened condensed milk? I've been Gluten-free Casein-free since April now and would like to try a little baking. One of my favorites is pumpkin pie, but I'm not sure how to get the right texture and taste w/o the dairy. Most of the recipes I have seen include the dairy.

Now using a small amount of low-lactose dairy such as aged cheeses and yogurt. Yum!

Gluten-free since 4/07

I know what the gluten-free stands for but what is the cf, I am racking my brain.... <_<

What about tofu? Eating Well used to have a tofu pumpkin pie recipe, not sure if that would fit the bill but you could take a look.
