Mccormick Taco Seasoning?

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

McCormick is a company that will clearly list all gluten ingredients, and won't hide them. For all their products, if you don't see wheat, barley, malt, rye, or oats listed, then it is safe. They are a great company for Celiacs!

Their website says:

When a product that contains gluten is formulated, we take precautions to ensure the source of gluten is declared on our label in the ingredient statement.

And, yes, I use their taco seasonings and I have never had a problem with any of their products. Enjoy!

Just be careful to read the labels. Today, I considered buying the McCormick's Chicken Taco seasoning, but when I read the ingredients, that one does list WHEAT.

Like others here, I use their products with no problem. Read.

I have seen McCormick Taco Seasoning listed on a gluten free list. Has anyone used this seasoning? If so, did it cause problems.?

I thought it was ok when I was first diagnosed but later realized I was dreading taco night because I didn't feel well after. Decided to look for issues, found the taco seasoning to be the problem, verified with my Nima (which others will tell you is no good for testing spices but it works fine as far as I'm concerned). I'm doing much better with McCormick certified gluten free taco seasoning mix. Why would they make gluten-free if the original was gluten-free anyway?

Hi Jenna1029, They test for DH by taking a small skin biopsy from clear skin next to a lesion.  If you have DH, you have celiac disease.  But, you need to be eating a gluten diet for 12 weeks (gluten challenge) before getting the skin bi...
To the OP, once in a while this stuff happens.  Please feel free to start a new topic if that would make it easier.  I am afraid this is just part of forums on the internet. I hope this didn’t chase you off.
@anasss Nobody in this thread has called anyone "ignorant," so please don't say that if it did not happen. Also, the use of all capitals is, in forums and other places on the Internet, generally considered yelling and impolite, and there ...
